if I posted all of the financial decisions as family member of mine makes.
I usually don't give a shit how other people decide to spend their money but watching the spending habits of these two people makes my blood pressure go through the roof knowing how things are going to look for them in the short term.

Well, to paint the entire picture would take forever. I will give the best condensed version i can.
Two income household, probably around $70k combined. One child. One car (loan payment approx $550/month). No mortgage due to an insurance issue that gave a large payout so that the mortgage was taken care of. Approximately $25k in credit card debt (that could have been paid off with the leftover insurance money they got a couple of years ago).
Their philosophy since getting their mortgage paid off a couple of years ago has been spend, spend, spend. My husband jokes when speaking about it by saying "If you want it, you get it!"
They are perpetually taking weekend trips to Disney World (they have annual passes) and staying over in Disney hotels. Go out to dinner probably three nights/week. Lots of other extras like mani/pedis, weekend golf, expensive makeup and clothes...stuff like that.
This month alone they have spent one weekend as a family at disney that cost them around $1200. Then today the adults went over there and are spending about the same to stay the night just tonight.
I know this in isolation may not seem so bad, but stories of this stuff over and over for the past few years just makes me drop my jaw each time I know about these places they are going. I mean, for essentially three nights and four days at a hotel a little over an hour away from home twice this month they have spent 75% of what we did to stay in Aruba for an entire week!
But the best part is the husband bitches and complains all the fucking time behind the wifes back about how they have to stop spending and start saving, yet he plans these things with glee and continues to bleed himself dry.
