I'm thinking that would be easy to serve for B's birthday party - like eggs, cheese, meat, maybe fancied up enough to be impressive, but not so much that toddlers will revolt. We're also doing chicken & waffles, and a yogurt parfait bar. And of course, cake.
Cook bacon and sausage, cut cooked bacon into small pieces. Combine frozen hash browns, cheese (i buy shredded cheddar), sausage, bacon, chopped up peppers into a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix eggs (# of eggs depends on how "eggy" you want it, I do at least six) and add some milk (as if you're making scrambled eggs). Slowly pour into large mixing bowl, mix as you go. Pour everything into casserole dish(es), cook for 1 hour at 400 degrees.
Now I want to make this. I've been meaning to make it into breakfast burritos too.
Breakfast slab pie is always good, and you can customize to your liking. I add bacon. We served this at one of DD1's birthday parties. It was a big hit among kids and adults alike.
ETA: Sorry, didn't realize you were looking for savory. The super easy way out would be to serve the Costco Quiche that they sell in a two pack. They're REALLY good!
