What do I do about this? Cara is 5.5 months old and just started rolling back to belly a few days ago. She's now doing it in her crib for nap time. Problem is that she pushes up on her arms once she rolls and won't relax them to nap on her belly. We put her down an hour ago and she's fighting the nap still. I'm fine with her sleeping on her belly but she doesn't seem to know how.
She's got her pacifier and is crying with it in her mouth. She doesn't normally fight naps.

We have been dealing with this at our house, although in the middle of the night. I know it's just a phase, but it isn't a fun one. I have been just turning him back to his back and soothing. Usually nurse him back to sleep. Oddly, he is fine when he is sleeping and doesn't wake up when he rolls to his tummy, but if he is awake it is a different story

Much as it sucks to hear, I always just let L figure it out on her own, whatever it was. Once she did, she was usually good from then on out (like, she didn't have to re-figure it out at every nap, just the first time, and perhaps minimally the second time). Hugs to you.
Drink. Pray. Just do whatever you need to do to survive.
Seriously, it's a really rough time. We mostly co slept then, which was the least terrible option. We did Ferber at 5.5 months, and that solved the problem immediately. Until he learned to stand, but couldn't sit down.
When DD learned to roll on her stomach and when she learned to pull herself up but couldn't figure out how to get back down were hard sleeping times. It broke my heart to hear her cry like that but after a couple of days she figured it all out and was back to her normal self. Lots of hugs to you, it's so hard!!

We picked her up after a while and she continued to cry. Of course I was cooking dinner when this happened so I inhaled my food then gave my husband a break so he could eat. I held her and rocked her and she stopped fussing but was looking all around the room. Finally she was calm and let out a yawn so I laid her down in the crib and read her a book. She went right to sleep but only napped 25 minutes. So we got her up, fed her some purees and now she's getting her bedtime bottle. Wish me luck that we're not in for round 2.

Yes unfortunately she needs todogure this out. Once she does she might even sleep better. It's so rough but after a couple naps/night she will get the hang of it. We just went through this with C and we will go through it again when he's sitting, standing, crawling, and walking. Hang in there mama! ((hugs)). I will say a prayer that tonight goes ok.
