We aren't in city limits so it would be the township. I don't know why, but I have vivid memories of my mom calling the sheriff daily about broken down cars at a neighbors when I was a kid.

The county. They will issue a warning citation and then bill the homeowner if not taken care of in a certain time frame. Like if the grass is over code, you have a week to fix it or the city will now it for you and charge you for it.

Do you have a big item pick up coming? Maybe you can go online and schedule one for them lol. This is why I love my county which as automatic big item pick up every week!
I'm just here to commiserate. Our neighbors moved out, like a month ago, and left a few big things at the curb that the trash will not take. So it has just been sitting there. Nobody new has moved in yet, and nobody has taken the free junk at the curb. And we do have an HOA, so I'm surprised it's still there.

My neighbor sold her house, and her handicapped parking signs are still up. This thread motivated me to call the city to have them removed. It is going to be 21-50 days. Ridiculous.
We call city code enforcement for stuff like that. It takes forever for them to do something, but it's all we can do. (or in our case, the offending neighbor gets a snowplow blade to do snowplow jobs in the winter, including our cul de sac that never gets plowed by the city. This makes him parking his giant ass boat on the street in the summer easier to overlook.)
