How many hours does your kid sleep at night? We pushed bedtime back to 8-830pm but she is still waking at 545am. I make her stay in bed (with a lot of effort) until 630am but I feel like she is tired during the day but maybe it's just wishful thinking. So how many hours for 3-4 ye olds? I am going to check my sleep book.
She's in bed by 830 and is up anywhere between 645-9...lol. She's not real consistent on the wake up times in the summer. DC days are earlier but if I'm home I let her sleep. She doesn't nap anymore and runs all day with little downtime, she needs it.
I don't know how many 3-4 yr olds are supposed to get but DD sleeps 11-13 hours. No naps. She falls asleep between 8-9 and Wakes up between 7-9 usually.
DD is in bed by 7:15/7:30 and usually sleeps until 7. No nap.
The later she goes to bed the earlier she wakes up. 7:15 is really ideal but it's super hard. Last night DH got home late so she didn't get to bed until 8. She was up at 6.
Espn! I legit was going to ask this question today!
Noah is 3.5 and sleeps 1.5 at nap and these days only about 9 hours at night (fighting bedtime lately and falling asleep about 10pm wtf). So 10.5 hours total for the day.
I'd say he's averaging 9-10 hours at night
DD did this until she outgrew her nap. I think she actually gets more sleep with it. Both her naps, fighting bedtime and her actual night time sleep were terrible for awhile. Once the nap was done we have a lot less issues. She still has an hour nap somedays at dc and those nights are still a challenge.
This is an all kids are different thing. DS doesn't need as much sleep. When he was 3, he would get about 10 hours at night and an hour nap. Now DD is 3, and she likes to sleep! When we let her sleep in, she usually gets 11 hours, and then she'll take a two hour nap! Takes after her mom a little.

He doesn't nap at all on weekends though and his night sleep patterns are still the same It's driving me seriously insane
DS is 3.5 and sleeps from 9-6 (so 9 hours) with a 2-3 nap. So 11-12 hours total. We put him to bed at 7:30-8ish but he usually doesn't actually fall asleep until closer to 9. He stalls, plays with his stuffed animals, talks to himself, etc.
@hannymaren DS had been waking for awhile at 5:30-5:45. Then he was a tired grump all day, even with a nap. So I bought a "Ok To Wake" clock which has worked surprisingly well. It's set to turn green at 6, but he often sleeps until 6:30-6:45.

We have the clock. That's how I get her to stay in bed but she is awake.
When she doesn't nap, she sleeps much better - 8:30-7:30. We don't let her nap, but she often does at daycare, and she won't go to bed until 10-11ish, and is up around 7 those days. She can read her clock and knows not to come out before 7.
I am so jealous of all these napping kids - it's been almost a year without naps. ;( But school starts in September so no napping there and hopefully they tire her out

DS2 is almost 4 (will turn 4 in September) and has never needed much sleep. He doesn't nap on weekends and does a quick 30-45 minute nap at daycare though I wish he wouldn't. Usually asleep around 9:30pm and up around 6:30pm. Sometimes he'll crash earlier at 8:30pm and sometimes he'll sleep in til 7/7:30pm on weekends.

DS has always been on the low end of sleep needs, even as an infant, and has always been an early riser. He still naps M-F at daycare, and those nights we're lucky if he's asleep by 9. On weekends he won't nap at all; I can usually get him down/asleep by 7:30, but he's almost always up by 6.
I'll fight the end of naps with everything I've got...I dread that day!!
We instituted quiet time at the end of naps. One hour of solo play on bedroom.
my husband it out of town all the time for work, so I do a lot of 24 hour parenting. We all need a beak from each other some days.
at 4 we also made a rule that you had to stay in you room til 7. Now at 5 she abides most of the time by the rule that she can't wake anyone up. So on weekends we get to sleep in til 8 or 8:30. It is glorious.

My 3.5-year old sleeps 7:30-6:30am, and naps for probably an hour or 2 in the middle of the day, and she very much still needs it! I think my older girls were sleeping 7-7:30 or so at that age and no nap.
DS goes to bed about 7:30 most nights and passes right out. I get him up at 6:30, but is often up as early as 5:45 playing in his room. Sometimes he will sleep until 7am ( or play in his room not sure which ) on weekends. So 10.5-11 hours?

We had to take his naps away this past Spring. He was stalling bedtime and staying up until 10:00pm playing in his room ( he will nap for 2 -3 hours though and is IMPOSSIBLE to wake up)
He will still nap if it's a special occasion and he wants to get to go out at night ( like fireworks or on vacation).
About twice a week he puts himself in his room for like a half an hour to an hour for " snuggle time." Once in a while he falls asleep during that time. It usually doesn't affect his bedtime much if it's just a one off like that.
He LOOOVVEESS napping though. He told me he can " deal with" napping anytime. LOL!
