My good friend A was in Peru for the past week. She posted a bunch of pics of alpacas that they saw. H said to bring him an alpaca home (because he's weird) and her dad posted "We must alpaca before we go on a trip." It was a totally cheesy dad joke but I laughed.
This morning, babyniq insisted that I lay all his blankets on the floor, then let him dance around them for a bit. He was very happy with this arrangement.
Am I to believe that one of the guys in Kid n play is the love child of Marge and Carl?
Ha! Someone in my Simpsons Trivia FB group (where I first saw this) said the exact same thing.
OH! And speaking of The Simpsons ... I was at the Mets game over the weekend and there was one inning where nothing was happening, so I said to MH, "And now there's a beach ball on the field!"
And then the guy sitting in front of me (total stranger) turned around and said, "And now the ball boys are discussing which one of them is going to go get it!" And we spent the rest of the game coming up with random quotes to fit various situations. And then MH laughed at me for being a nerd and making a friend.

My dog makes me laugh every day. Today's laugh, is that I've been crafting a lot, and the way I sit, makes my knees and his head exactly the same height. He comes under the table, put his head on my knee and gives me the sad "please pet me face". It's so funny and cute.
ETA: I now have photographic proof of said puppy eyes. He really wants a walk, but it's still too hot.
Oh, this is probably going to make me laugh a lot once I get home from work ... FIL is out of the hospital today and will be moving into a therapy center near our house, at least for the time being until we get a better understanding of his health and overall prognosis. He lives 30 minutes away from us and still has the mother cat and two of her kittens (third was adopted).
MH just brought them to our house, so he doesn't have to keep running back and forth to feed them. They're in a separate closed room so they don't interact with our two adult cats. I imagine they're all probably interacting through the bottom crack in the door right now.
Mama Cat and our own female cat are scared. Our male cat is growling and being his usual jerky self. The brave kitten is walking around the room to explore, and the kitten who's always scared shitless of everything is still in the crate.
H lost the keys to my BMW months ago. We finally broke down and spent $350 on a new key. I said this meant we would find it. Sure enough when people came to buy our dresser I found the key on the floor behind the dresser.

This happened to me as well after I spent $160 for a locksmith to unlock our safe. I found the keys that same night at the very bottom corner of my purse.

I parked behind a truck when DH and I stopped for dinner tonight, and it had about 10 different bumper stickers on it. Among them: "Sorry I missed church, I was busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian." and "I bet you'd drive better with that phone stuck up your ass."
Playing heads up. I was behind some people months ago playing at it Hershey park and finally downloaded it. It was a rest way to end the evening of games while we are at the beach
We also watched a protracted rendition of the star spangled banner and totes reminded us of the early bleeding gums version (folks there's still a ballgame....")
DD1, who is 3, is learning body parts beyond the basics. I've told her which ones we discuss in public, etc. Yesterday she was up at 4:30 and had no nap, in bed by 7. She woke up around 6 this morning still groggy. When she's like this, she's "dippy" and talks about weird things. In the middle of breakfast, she started talking about her nipples. I asked her about it and told asked her what she was talking about. She looked at me confused and then told me she doesn't need a bra, when she's older, maybe 4.

Last night but whatever it's close enough. Boyfriend came over to help me clean before having my grandparents, aunt, uncle and three cousins over for dinner.
1) He cleans better than I do. While I was mildly embarrassed in spite of my friends thinking I'm a clean freak, I was also laughing at his detailed level of cleaning which is so opposite the male stereotype.
2) While Boyfriend was giving me a kiss, Rocko decided he was feeling left out and needed to give me puppy kisses too. So I'm kissing Boyfriend while having my knees tickled by jealous puppy kisses. I guess they both love me and I'm not going to complain about that.
