Hi Ladies,
I'm looking for some book recos that will help me not feel so uneducated about everything pregnancy. Ideally, I'd love something that's relatively general, but gives me the high hard points on to-dos not to-dos what to expect and a heads up on decisions that I'm going to have to make in the next few months.
Does something like this exist? What would you recommend?

I have the Mayo Clinic guide. It seems VERY thorough. I've only read what seems relevant now, so I haven't gotten to the sections of what decisions I'll need to make going forward, but I'm sure it's there. It has a nice amount of detail on the weekly development of the fetus and changes within your body.
I really appreciated Expecting Better. I like knowing why I'm following (or, usually in my case, ignoring) the pregnancy restrictions, so they don't seem so random and draconian.

My reads the first time around consisted of
Girlfriends Guide to Prgnancy Belly Laughs (I hate Jenny McCarthy but the book is good) Ina May's Guide to Childbirth
I'd also reccomend Sippy Cups Aren't for Chardonnay
You can do What to Expect and the Mayo guide, they're not bad, but they're dry and most of that info is online at Baby Center and in any pregnancy app.
I'll throw in Baby Bargains. It's a great book to help figure out what stuff you need to get and how to save money. I think a new edition just came out!
I also would get some first year books. I read a lot of pg books but after we brought baby home I really wished I had a book about what to do with her! I have a baby's first year week by week book which had been great so far. My sister recommended Happy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. She said it was very useful starting when the baby is about 3 months. Not to overwhelm you, but it will probably be nice to have something like these already after the baby is born.
