Am I crazy? Probably.
Is there so much to do sometimes that I just lose track of an endless string of never-ending projects? YES.
Do I need lists to feel like I accomplished something and check off work? It helps.
Am I running out of steam and in need of a definite list of chores and timeframe to help get over the hump? Yeah, I do.
Okay, I know it's almost August. But for the above reasons, I think I'm going to commit to a reasonable, pre-holiday to do list. I guess the holiday is Thanksgiving. Look's like there are about 17 weekends between now and then. Said list will be printed and left on my refrigerator. Anyone want to join me? ETA: I'll do a periodic check in to see how we're all doin too! _____________ Finish spreading mulch (~2 cubic feet) Paint garage entry door and trim Paint DS's new door Paint trim in DS next room Paint walls in DS's room Paint ceiling (prime and sand) in DS's room Install blinds in DS's room Hang coat rack in foyer Begin changing sash locks (at least 5) Hang plates in kitchen Swap desks in study
There's plenty more to do, but I reeeaaallly want to get this stuff done by T'giving (and I think it's doable).

I'll play: These are once we close on our house of course
Thoroughly clean the whole house/clean carpets Unpack and organize everything Have chimney cleaned and add a chimney cap Order and layout rock area for the shed to be delivered on in late Aug/Sept Put some screening over vents in the attic
Upgrade circuit box from 100-200 amp, fuses to circuit breakers, add on for a generator
It's a small list for now, but there will be more to do over the winter. Since the house was already reno'd we just may change a paint color or 2 and get all new furniture over time.

Oh geez. I'm trying not to think about this stuff. But my GOALS:
*Finish the downstairs bathroom (LOL, I'm pretty sure this was on our list last year too) *paint the porch floor *plant trees *Finish painting back wall of house - we might have to find a different contractor to do it - our prior one isn't returning phone calls *Tune piano *Stain/seal/install trim upstairs *Deeeeeeeep clean the carpet (see my post in the FML thread) *Touch up the kitchen cabinet paint *Finish solar install (I'm just putting this on there so SOMETHING can get checked off this list. LOL)

You mean Labor Day. Right? Not Thanksgiving.
Right?
RIGHT??
Frankly, I am trying to get thru the summer. Veggie garden's going into full speed right now - more beans, more squash, more zukes. And of course other yard maintenance. And so's my job - I've picked up 5 new projects in the last 2 weeks. It's that time of year.
So I'm on the emoflamingo boat. I'll be happy if I can just keep up with maintenance - laundry, vacuum, weeds, picking, etc.
ETA: Talk to me after first frost. And then I'll be in full-on panic mode because we'll be starting to plan birthday party for the boys.

Labor day = start of football season. So I'll have one totally free day per week lol. I don't think I'll be keeping up on laundry well.
I have a pretty huge list: -add fence & finish landscaping front yard, but grill/smoker for back yard/do some minor backyard stuff/stain garden beds -organize tools in garage -finish painting foyer & replace both lights -new built ins (scheduled) -new floors & backsplash in kitchen (scheduled) -new dining room set (picked out & ordered) -finish painting kitchen & laundry room -patch & paint a few holes -paint trim in basement & stain doors -buy older girls a duvet for beds -buy FLOR rugs for both kids bedrooms
