I distinctly remember making a big deal to my mom about Multiples at Daytons in 3rd grade. Anyone remember those? Then in 4th grade I was really into name brands.
Seems like it starts earlier these days. So far DD wants to choose her clothes, but hasn't shown any interest in choosing things when we have been shopping.
For me, it was 4th/5th. For W, he can choose anything in his wardrobe, but I buy his wardrobe.
I think I'll do this too when Joanna starts wanting to choose her clothes. But I just have this fear that, even if she likes the stuff I buy, she'll get picked on for it. I was always uncool, so I might have a complex. lol
You've got great taste, so you don't have anything to worry about! I definitely don't envy you girl moms. I think I would have the same anxiety if W were a girl.
I think if you insist she wear a beret in 3rd grade, she may get picked on. Otherwise, she'll probably be ok!! I think you'd be surprised about what she likes too.
I remember in kindergarten caring soooo much about what I wore. I would try 5+ outfits before school pretty much daily. They were mostly garage sale clothes and I still cared.
