So I'm no stranger to hot and or humid weather, but I usually don't wear makeup when the weather is gross. However, my brother is getting married in CA in August and I need some makeup tips to not look like ass in the pics. Anybody good at this type of thing?
Start with a primer and end with setting spray. Avoid anything glittery or overly sparkly. Waterproof mascara. Blotting papers for touch ups. Coffee filters work in a pinch.
NYX oil controlling primer first Put on all your makeup, set with a light dusting ofpowder. Spray Urban Decay's de-slick setting spray liberally all over. Let it dry. Repeat. Keep oil blotting paper with you and use that to soak up excess face grease. Sometimes applying powder will get cakey looking. You want to combat the oil without adding more makeup.
Ulta sells a travel size of the setting spray for $10 so you don't have to splurge for the large $25 bottle.
When I do my makeup this way, I can look fresh for 8 hours.
Also highly recommend the L'Oreal 24 hour pro matte foundation. It's excellent.

Thanks gals! @pinkoinot usually when I put primer down first, and I start to get sweaty, it just beads up all over my face ( gross, I know I'm a sweaty goat) does the setting spray help that?

Another thing... Be careful with sunscreen, especially mineral sunscreens/sunblocks. And mineral makeup. Camera flashes reflect off the minerals and will make you appear either shiny or ghost like.

I'd say skip the primer. I only use it if I'm wearing a liquid makeup. The moisturizer and SPF in the CC cream might throw off the texture of the oil controlling primer.
I personally prefer Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume, the orange tube. It has regular and waterproof formulas. I wear the waterproof when I'm outside all day in heat and humidity and my mascara stays.
