Montana fits pretty perfect...
Montana has to be two different people. Eastern Montana is a cowboy drinking Budweiser and gets into a fight with Wyoming over sheep vs. cattle, but this happens every week and they make up afterwards. Western Montana, on the other hand, is a hipster/hippie throwback with dreadlocks who drinks craft beer or PBR and absolutely reeks of marijuana.
I thought the CO one was close also... but I was a transplant and the natives were few/far between, so I'm imagining this is also about the metro area or I-70's mtn transplants.
Colorado is a beautiful, perfectly athletic couple wearing all Patagonia, drinking craft beer talking about their last mountaineering trip, with an air of aloofness.
Oh and the only other state I've lived was Illinois - Chicago area, so I sort of think the Bears one is right b/c everyone talked about where they were during that time period or when the Bulls had their hey day.
Illinois is a larger gentleman, eating deep dish pizza and drinking a Goose Island. He's reminiscing about the '85 Bears and how "this is the Cubs year".
I may not live there anymore, but Kentucky is sooooo me.
I grew up on the Indiana side of the river, but because it's the Louisville metro area, Kentucky stuff always fits my experience more. That description is so me. Last week I went to a concert with my cousin and one of her friends and my SIL was driving us home and the friend and I were a little drunk. We are both huge UK fans (and she's a recent grad). I think my SIL thought about killing us - we were being super loud and obnoxious talking about UK basketball.
You've never lived until you've experienced high school girls' tennis warm ups that devolved into a super heated "discussion" about basketball. Now the bigger rivalry is UK-UofL on that side of the river but it used to be IU-UK. (CATS CATS CATS!!). Nothing makes me happier than how irrelevant IU is now.
