So, it is summer and I am off and DH is working his long hours. I planned a lot of fun things to do with Reese since her appointments are monthly instead of weekly.
However right now she is on day number #9 (You read that right--9!) of a fever. It started the last night of our vacation, we went to her doctors to get it checked out and it is walking pneumonia.
So Reese and I have been stuck inside for 9 days. I have been trying to get out in the evenings after DH is home, but it isn't always feasible. I SWORE it was going to break today because yesterday she went from 4:30pm until 2:00am without a fever. Then I gave her tylenol at 2am and she was fine until noon. She is in the middle of a four hour nap, poor kiddo.
And I can't get much done at the house, because when she is feeling good-I am trying to force her to rest--and as soon as I leave the room, she decides to run around and just not rest.
I am so frustrated! We have to call her doctors tomorrow if it hasn't broken by then.

Can you just get out & go for a drive? Plan a route to avoid traffic & rush hours. Pack some snacks or stop at a drive thru & go somewhere scenic for a "picnic" in the car? I'm thinking watching ducks at a pond, watching trucks at a construction site, anything. Just to get out, avoid contact, & force her to rest in her seat. You both need a change of scenery.
I hope her fever breaks and this isn't an issue soon. The driving idea could be fun. What about making bath paint (there are ideas on Pinterest)? Once I let dd "paint" the tub using plastic cookie cutters as stencils.
