8 steamy miles this morning before meeting the ILs for pizza and zoo time for DH's birthday. At mile 6 my hair tie broke. Thankfully, I always have a spare on my wrist...
A little over 5 1/2 miles of paddling today. As I was reaching for my phone to take this pic, a huge stingray flew up out of the water! I've lived in FL my entire life and had no idea that they did that. It was so cool!

I didn't have much to PIP at yoga/pilates but finally got out for a run this morning! We've had a cool down in DC and the weather was just gorgeous. This is my favorite part of my normal route -- I was surprised to see the trees blooming all of a sudden in August!
I swam at this lovely pool yesterday. I don't usually get to this pool to swim, but it's close to my PT, so I went after my appointment. It was lovely!

Oh I'm glad this is still going, so I can share I pic where I think I look cool! This was post-WOD on Weds, my additional strength stuff. I'd done back squats and was warming up my overhead squats.
And my caption was the end of this Ronda Rousey quote that's making the rounds. Have you guys heard it? "I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be. I call it a 'do-nothing bitch'. Or I call it a 'DNB' a lot of the time. She's a bitch who just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else. That's why I think it's hilarious if people say that my body looks masculine, or something like that. I'm just like, 'Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine.' I think it's femininely badass as fuck because there's not a single muscle on my body that isn't for a purpose...because I'm not a do nothing bitch."
Not a workout but a picture of what working out has done for me. I have my bad days/weeks where I feel so blah about myself and working out. I was having that issue this week but as I was going through old emails I found the picture on the left which was taken 2 years ago, the month before I started CF. I found a recent pic and did a side-by-side and instantly it motivated me to keep on going.

Holy crap, you look amazing! That's so awesome. Congrats on a ton of hardwork paying off!

itsme I love that you follow up proclaiming yourself a nasty mess with that picture! (yes, I know the mess is just post-workout, but whatever) I definitely do not usually look cute after working out, but that is why you get yourself friends who'll take 50 pictures of you so you can choose the good one to post Plus I think I'd washed my face and smoothed out my hair between WOD and squats because I was truly sweaty that day.
I'm visiting my parents and had an amazing long run this morning.
When I was growing up, I never appreciated the wooden fences, stone barns and rolling farmland right out of a Wyeth painting (literally). But I sure did appreciate this beautiful town today
