Even after our attempt to DIY fix our master shower, it's still leaking somewhere. We've decided to have it torn out and rebuilt. Initially I was annoyed, but now I realize we can redesign it! Yes!
It currently has a built in bench that I'm thinking we might take out. Thoughts? I know shower benches always seem appealing, but in reality, it's a cold slab of granite and not at all comfortable for sitting on.
Taking out the bench would give us more room. We can both shower as it is now. But without the bench, it would free up even more space and I would have a second shower head installed to make it a legit two person shower.
So your options are: bench or two person shower. What do you do?
I love the idea of a two-person shower, but at the same time, I find it hard to shave my legs in the shower without any sort of ledge/bench/edge of tub. But I don't know if that's worth keeping a bench in! A big luxurious shower with two shower heads sounds a lot nicer.
I would do a 2 person shower. I can't see myself really sitting down on a bench in the shower, but I've never lived anywhere fancy enough to have either of these options!
Two person shower with a soap ledge (shaving ledge). My husband and I are always wishing for a two person shower, but we shower together at least 3x per week. If you rarely shower together maybe the full seat would be more useful?

Agree w the above. I had a bench in the shower I used growing up and I never sat on it because it was too cold on my bum! It held countless shampoo/body wash/soap containers though in varying states of use.
