How's everyone's weekend going?
We went out to see a very small theater group's production of Clue. We got the tickets for next to nothing and while the quality of the acting/singing wasn't all that great, it was still fun. We had a gift card for Applebee's so we went for an early dinner. Now I'm home watching baseball.
We just got home an hour or two ago. Ate dinner and catching up on @ Midnight I will probably post trip pictures in a bit on FB if anyone is interested!
I've been up since 6am because my cat was crying. She wouldn't stop so I came out to the couch and she immediately curled up and fell asleep. I swear she does it on purpose. So now I'm drinking some coffee and reading the low gi diet revolution book. I've heard a lot of good things about this kind of diet so I'm intrigued. Anyone have any experience with it?

I own that book too. Learned a lot! I went on the diet for PCOS/fertility reasons, not for weight loss. However, I did see an improvement, in that my ovulation date moved up a couple days when I was on the diet. I did it all last year.
It wasn't bad, except that I have a serious sweet tooth and had a hard time giving up things like cookies and cake. And potatoes. I missed potatoes so bad.
Yesterday we had a game night from 4:30pm-2:30am. It was fun but exhausting. By the end my brain was mush.
I have been struggling with severe intestional distress this week. If it isn't better today on just the BRAT diet I will have to go to the doctor. I can't keep losing sleep in pain.
HoneySpider it was a lot of fun! My method of betting on horses with the coolest names did not work very well. People were either not in hats or in these gigantic home made ones with plastic horses glued to them. Mine was pretty tame compared to those!

Well, I think your's was much better than one with plastic horses, lol
We had DH's BFF's son's 1st birthday party yesterday! It took us 2 hrs to get there and we decided to not spend the night at my dad's (three other family members were also spending the night and they were all going to a concert so wouldn't get to spend much quality time with my dad and stepmom). Overall it was worth all the driving and C did great! He had a blast meeting everyone and having everyone love on him and DH and I had a great time seeing friends!
We're resting up today and likely going in the pool and grilling as soon as C is up from his nap!
We had a fun weekend- hanging out at my in-laws with my SIL and kids visiting from out of state. It was a very unromantic anniversary weekend, but we can celebrate another time. We did book our trip, and decided on Chicago! I am excited! Also, total AW here, H got me a new wedding band for our anniversary! I am obsessed with it! It's the one on the bottom.
I woke up in the middle of the night with major neck pain. I pulled it while sleeping or something...haven't done it in years. Spent the weekend trying to figure out how to sleep longer than an hour at a time. Both sides hurt. Will be contacting the doc this morning.
My husband and I are going to Vegas next week. I needed to update my wardrobe because wearing baggy mom t-shirts or work clothing didn't scream Vegas to me. So I fell victim to the sharks in White House Black Market and walked out with some really cute outfits....more than what I was planning to buy but I'm pretty happy with my haul.
Here's a little vent, you can skip it if you're not in the mood....
I wanted to choke my MIL after the mall trip when I swung by to pick my kids up. She kindly agreed to watch them while I went shopping. She was out back with my 3 and 5 year olds at her complex's pool. My 3 year old has not had a single swim lesson and she allowed him to play in the pool with no flotation device.
I was walking along the pool fence and noticed him in the pool. The shallowest part of the pool comes to his chin and then slopes off to 6'. My MIL was sitting in a chair and then LEAVES her view of the kids to come over to the gate to let me in. Like it didn't even phase her that she was putting him in danger that he could easily slip under the surface. I got him out of the pool and told her that he needs to wear a life vest or his Puddle Jumper. She was taken aback by my reaction and said, "Well this is the first time he's actually gotten in the pool"
What does that have anything to do with him being in the pool without a flotation device? I dont care if its the 1st or 10th time...he can't be in a pool without anything keeping him above the surface. Leaving my 5 year old with him is not enough. I'm still pissed when I think about all of this.
