I got Harley in his cat carrier for the move. It was a piece of cake. Last time I posted here in a panic because I was in tears and bleeding from trying to get him in a carrier. I got his carrier out a month ahead of time and only gave treats in the carrier. Luckily he's food motivated.
Unfortunately he's not happy and fighting the carrier, but I put a blanket over it and hope he'll settle down soon. It's going to be an hour or so before he can get out.
I discovered I have a food aversion to donuts. A friend very sweetly bought me a box of fancy donuts, and I threw up after only one bite. This is not okay.
Good luck with the move! My kitty poops when she is stressed, which is often in the carrier :-(
I'm a bit sore today. I finally went to a contra dance with my new friend. It was fun. But I must admit, it was a really interesting crowd. I made the comment that it reminded me of my computer science classes.

My run this morning was awful.
But I'm on my way to help a friend throw her I kicked cancers ass bash. She was diagnosed three years ago and is celebrating the fact that it's behind her.
Plus she's an amazing cook/caterer, and I love helping her throw parties. And not just because we will begin the day with copious amounts of mimosas
I skipped my running group last week....and won't be running until the group meets again. Sigh. I wish i weren't so lazy and could motivate myself. I should run today....but instead will be relaxing and reading on the deck until dh comes home and then we are going to an outdoor beer festival.
DH and I hung out last night with a good friend of mine and her new boyfriend. Her BF and DH got along GREAT. This is exciting to have new couple friends! Also, he lives in a beach front condo and travels for work often, so he offered us his condo whenever we want it. Free vacation, so very MM.
Today we're laying low since it was a late night. We walked over to the plant nursery near our house and priced out our landscape. Hopefully we can get it done in the next two weeks!

Poor Harley. Two of our cats do fine getting in the carrier. The third cat is a two person job.
DH almost never drinks, he's just not interested/doesn't like the taste. We went out for dinner last night and he tried my rum cocktail. He really liked it for a change, and had three whole sips...before his face and neck turned bright blotchy red and he got super overheated and nauseous. We had to get our food to go and I was seriously considering urgent care. He was fine after about 30 minutes, but home slice apparently has a zero tolerance.
We had an awesome weekend with my family in Dallas. I have pinkeye now too, it started Friday and I am hoping I can see my eye doc tomorrow. Allergies and this heat are totally miserable.
Ran another 5k on Saturday, then did errands, hung out in the pool and by the fire pit. Today we grocery shopped and hung out at the house. We normally do Sunday dinner at my FIL's but H is sick and doesn't want to get his dad sick so we cancelled. I took a 2 hour nap. Not sure if I was just tired or if I'm fighting against whatever he has.
Oh and I'm starting the 3 Day quick fix plan from 21 day fix tomorrow. So much prep but I need a reset so I'm going to try it. I keep telling myself it's only 3 days. My kitchen looks like a catering hall, (a sad catering hall that only serves grilled chicken, zucchini, & asparagus)
Went to bed at like 9ish last night and slept in until 7am which is a record for me. I was exhausted. Went into work for a few hours to get caught up, had an amazing treadmill run and weight session at the gym and now having a late lunch with a glass of wine.
And now I am looking at details for the Zion half marathon.
The move sucked. It took 7 hours, and that was with me helping. I had Harley crated the whole time because it should have been fast. Last time they moved me it was under 3 hours loading and unloading. The moving company took an hour and a half off at least. The guys are doing ok and exploring a little.
