I am watching the first episode (I think) it just started, and I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it because Jazz is so young to be "exploited" for reality tv. But at the same time I am hopeful that her family can serve as an example of a family who is going through it together, so to speak. Anyone else watching? If you know someone who is transgender, what are their thoughts?
I watched one episode. I think it's an important thing to talk about. I don't trust TLC to tell her story because I do think they exploit the kids they use. I am very fond of her parents they seem amazing so that's a change for sure.
I did like that they seemed to make a point to show that Jazz is mostly just a regular girl, going through things many young teens go through, but also they address issues she faces that are unique to being transgender in a frank way. Like bathingsuit shopping, and hormone levels

I've watched a few episodes. I'm pretty impressed with the show this far…and I agree, her family seems amazing. Lots of teen issues discussed, and it's interesting to see. I absolutely would think the show would be a great resource for a family going through the same issues.
