Love points plus! I couldn't do it without online help though. I go to meetings, but I'm an exclusive digital tracker. The mobile and iPad apps make it so easy.
I never ate fruit before the transition to PP, but I also lost weight better on the original points system. I just cancelled my WW subscription (I have been at my goal weight for a few months now) and I am going to use MFP now.
i think you'll like it. i found that i make better choices on points plus than i did the straight points program. like you said - i was always picking the granola bar, etc, which long term didn't change how i ate. it just made me better at working the system. it's almost easier to make fruits and veg your go-to snack.
but it really beats you up on carbs. i miss bread and pasta.
