With my first, I lost almost all the pregnancy weight during the first 3 months...supply was low and ds and I, really struggled with nursing. Gained 20 pounds about 3 months postpartum and I nursed ds for 17.5 months. Was pregnant when I weaned, didn't lose any weight.
With dd, great supply, lost weight until I was at about 5 lbs above my pp weight (with her, so still 25 lbs overweight). When we weaned, I lost five lbs. I was back to my "good" bf'ing weight with my first. Never lost more and am still overweight.
I had a good supply and likely over supply (according to LC). I am currently 9 lbs less than pre-pg weigh at 7 1/2 months PP. I'm sure BFing contributed quite a bit but I'm also very active and got back to pre-pg weight very quickly, likely because C would only nap while I walked outside in the baby carrier the first 12 wks...I literally was walking about 3 hrs/day and running a good portion during those weeks as well (20 miles/wk).
I had low supply with DD1 and supplemented with formula. I also pumped often. I couldn't keep weight on while BFing her. I lost the baby weight by 6w, and it continued to drop until I got pregnant with my 2nd.
With DS and DD2 I had great supply and rarely had to pump. It took me 6 months to get back to pre pregnancy weight with DS, and 2 years and a lot of work to get back there with DD2. I attribute that to age and a lower starting weight.
I had a good supply both times, mild oversupply even. I held onto 5 extra lbs after DS1. When I was tandem nursing after DS2 I held onto 20lbs until I started counting calories on MFP at 4 months PP. I lost 24lbs in 4 months once I started MFP.
I had oversupply with DD and lost more weight with her overall than with DS, despite being much more active with DS and less sedentary overall than I was with baby DD. I am at my pre-pregnancy weight now one year out of giving birth to DS. With DD, I was 10 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight by the time she was 9 or 10 months old.
I had good supply and weight fell off. People will hate me but I had to eat tons of food to keep weight on and ended up weighing about five pounds less than I did before I got pg. It was hard for me to gain strength back though so I spent that year feeling kind of weak and gross.
My supply was fine and it wasn't until I started the diversification process that I got back to my starting weight. I'm at the weight I was before pregnancy but I don't think it was because of BFing

I had a decent supply (always made an ounce or two more than he needed each day) stopped pumping by 11 months and he had enough milk to last until 13 months. When I stopped nursing I weighed less than I did before I go pg. It took another 6 months for me to gain the 10+ pounds back
With ds1 I barely had time to eat and I ebf him for 5 months. The pounds just melted away.
With ds2, also EBF, I dropped to about 7lbs from my pre-pg weight within a week or two, but I've been SO HUNGRY all the time with him. My weight has been up and down +/- 5lbs from month to month depending on whether I've been able to successfully curb my all consuming need to be eating.
I don't know how much I weigh but I'm wearing the same size as pre-pg. I'm just a lot more floppy.
I had normal supply while on ML and low-ish supply after that. I'm actively trying to lose weight/tone up now. I don't think BF did much for me regarding weight loss. I just went back to my comfortable overweight spot.
I've had a very good supply for 18 months (still BFing). I HOPE AND PRAY Bfing is making me hold onto 5-10lbs. I'll be very disappointed if they don't fall off when I stop BFing
I don't know if BFing helped me lose a lot of weight. Weight came off quickly and sort of held after the first couple months. I think I put on a few pounds around the 4+ month mark.

I had a good supply. Within a week of delivery, I was within 5 lb of my prepregnancy weight. Now, at 18 months, I'm 10 lb over pp. I don't think BF is helping me at all.
Supply was fine until I went back to work at 12 weeks. Had trouble keeping up with pumping so started supplementing around 16 weeks. Gained 25 lbs during pregnancy and still have about 5 to go. I think I actually gained a little right after DS was born because I was SO HUNGRY. I know 5 lbs doesn't sound like a lot, but I'm short so it's a pants size for me. I work out daily and eat healthy, basically doing what I do any other time I want to lose a few pounds, and the scale is hardly budging.
I had sufficient-ish supply. Dd has always been small and my avg pump was around 3oz.
I lost a lot of weight while BF and was my lowest since college. Once dd hit a year I stopped pumping at work and just nursing a couple of times a day. I think I've gained about 15lbs since then.
I have a oversupply and EP 60-67oz a day. I gained a bit over 60lbs during pregnancy and am now 124lbs at almost 6 months pp. I have 4lbs to get back to my pp weight. Im not sure what is up with my body. I ate pretty healthy during pregnancy and gained weight like crazy. Not to much swelling or GD. Who knows. I eat more now EP then I did when I was pregnant.
Overall I have a good supply, but it was touchy in the early days and was affected by trying to watch what I ate. Soo, I pretty much stopped trying to lose weight and around 6 months pp it started to come off with minimal effort. I basically got down to my pre preg weight and then started to eat whatever I wanted in larger quantities. Shockingly, I started to gain weight! I'm trying to stop that and get back on track.
EP - I made 27 oz on a good day at my peak at 3 months and that was being hungry all the time, eating like mad, drinking water all day long. In the beginning my mom thought my food needed to be buttered up to obtain calories and that I should not eat spicy things. No one else seemed to have any sane or scientific food advice to give me, so I didn't refuse what she made me. I'm sure the butter didn't help my lack of weight loss.
When I joined an EP board about 4 months in, I learned 27 oz is basically low in the EP world. My body refused to lose weight. I remember crying to my MFM and OB at 6 weeks post-partum that I had barely lost any weight and they both sounded surprised.
With both kids I think I have just the right supply. With DS I gained 31 pounds and only lost maybe 17-18 pounds of that by 2 months. Around then I started to run and counted calories and that had me back at pre-pregnancy weight by 4 months. I would love to lose another 5 pounds and tightened up some more. Breastfeeding for me just allows me to eat some extra stuff guilt free.
I had an average supply, I would say. I gained about 30 lbs while pregnant and lost 20 of that within the first couple weeks postpartum. I didn't reach my pre-pregnancy weight until the week I got my BFP with DD2 (a few weeks shy of DD1's second birthday).
If I recall correctly, with both kids I lost much of the weight immediately, then it slowly crept up while I had supply issues with DD when I returned to work. DS is only 8 weeks, but so far I'm all over the place - back to pre-pregnancy weight at 2 weeks (19 lbs lost), great supply, but now I've crept up by 5 lbs. I'm starving all the time, which is probably due to the fact that I'm doing intense workouts and also BFing a super-baby (he gained 5 lbs his first 6 weeks, not counting weight lost in the first couple of days).
If you BF/EP and you had good/over supply...did you find BF/EP to help you lose weight? All of it, part of it, etc?
No, not at all and I had a very healthy supply. I gained a lot of weight while pregnant. I know some was from the swelling and pre-e but the rest was just my body. That being said I lost 40 pounds within 10 days of giving birth. Water weight that just melted off. I had 40 MORE pounds still left to get back to pre-pregnancy size. Those 40 pounds took forever. I tried to eat better but I didn't do WW or any diet during DD's first year. I dieted a little when she was around 1 1/2 and lost some and then again when she was 2 I did WW and technically got to my pre-pregnancy weight.
I'm just one of those people that must hold on to weight when breastfeeding. Yay? :^)

Hmm I think this is so body dependant I had virtually the same experience both times I gained about 20 pounds with each girl and lost it all within 2-3 weeks With Dd1 I was EP and formula feeding and pumping around every 4 hours With dd2, I nursed around the clock With both I did not have a great supply If anything now I keep reading calories! Calories so I eat more thinking it will up my supply.... Lol it doesnt
I was back to my pre pregnancy weight pretty much by my two week pp check up. I had low supply issues....I think the c section and pph I experienced contributed to this and my body could just never catch up.
After losing all the pregnancy weight I gained and experiencing low supply issues, I gained about 15-20 pounds and I am still unsure how. I could have made better choices sure, but I wasn't eating super unhealthy and at one point was on an elimination diet. When I weaned completely I started losing some of that weight, but then got pregnant again. Needless to say I feel like an absolute whale right now.
I had a good supply and, until I stopped pumping at a year, was about 7 pounds below pre-pregnancy weight. Unfortunately I then landed about 7 above it.
