I combo fed for months 3-10 but have a normalish supply, and it helped me lose what I'd gained while pregnant and then some.
As I nurse less and he eats more solids I can't eat as many calories as before, and I'm closer to my pre-pregnancy weight. I know when I wean I am going to have to work hard if I want to maintain my current weight.

Good supply and dropped below pre-pregnancy weight with DD. At one point I was a little concerned that I was going to lose too much weight but it did level off. I could not remember the last time I weighed that much.
Also good supply with DS and I am back to pre-pregnancy weight. I did weigh less to start with when I got pregnant with him compared to my starting weight with DD. I don't want/need to loss any more weight.
I am slightly concerned about what will happen when I wean.
Not for me I have a good supply but I'm still hanging on to 15-20 pounds of pregnancy /fertility treatment weight. Trying to diet causes my supply to drop, so I'm just going to KOKO for the next couple months and hopefully drop this weight after I stop pumping in Nov.
I didn't have an oversupply but I always met DD's needs so it was a good supply.
I technically weighed less leaving the hospital than when I got pregnant so I can't really speak to that, but I lost more weight in the first 3-4 months PP but then gained some back as I ate more to compensate for BFing. I just ate too much I think
DS - I dropped weight really easily. I was 7lbs lower than my pre pregnancy when he was 5-6 months without doing any physical activity or much dieting. I had a great supply.
DD - I lost weight, but not as fast and I worked out a lot more and ate better. It took a diet change and increase in physical activity to get lower than my pre-pregnancy weight. My supply was decent, but not as good as DS.
I have always had a lot of milk. I also gain a lot of weight (40ish pounds) when pregnant.
With both kids, I got back to my pre-pregnancy weight after 7 months. I lost weight consistently (about 1-1.5 pounds a week), but BFing certainly doesn't "melt the weight off." Ultimately, I got about 10 pounds under pre-pregnancy weight with both kids (I nursed my first for 18 months and am still nursing my second at 19 months). Those 10 pounds reappeared like the second I weaned DD, so I am very conscious of that this time -- I know I'm going to have to cut calories when I wean DS.
I had an oversupply and lost almost all the baby weight - which was a LOT. A good amount was water weight, though. I have been hanging on to that last 5 lbs since I weaned. I might just give up and accept that they are here to stay.
First time: low supply. BFing helped get me to my pre-preg weight (I was off dairy and soy which hugely helped) but I found I couldn't go below that without severely impacting my supply.
This time: slight oversupply, so far. I have lost a couple pounds below my postpartum weight (which was already below my pre-preg weight thanks to being overweight and doing the gestational diabetes diet) and there doesn't seem to be a negative impact. I have quite a bit to lose but I'm trying to take it slowly and make sure my supply doesn't suffer.
