Update - I have a 10:30 interview on Monday after I drop DD off at Daycare. I didn't mention the daycare, lol.
The phone interview I had last Fri resulted in an email asking me to come in on THIS Thursday for an in-person interview at 11:30am. The problem and questions....
1. I only have 6.32 hrs of PTO, a couple of hours of which I already ask for off on Monday because DD starts daycare on Monday and I want to drop her off.
2. I have no idea how to ask my supv for time off in the middle of the morning.
3. Do I risk asking for additional time off at work? Is it unprofessional to ask HR if I can schedule for another day and time?
Just let them know you've had to move an appointment this week and attempted to schedule it over lunch, but 11:30 is the earliest you could schedule it. Let them know you will be out from x time to x time and ask to make up the time by coming in earlier or later. I would not try to reschedule the interview since lunch time is fairly convenient.

Can you ask them to reschedule the interview to the beginning or end of the day and adjust your workday accordingly? I have generally found prospective employers to be flexible with working around my schedule.

I haven't sent anything yet thank goodness because I don't know why I didn't think about asking to schedule at the end of the day. Thank you.
