Potentially dumb question here...the BF loves to fish. Is there fishing there? He is NOT a touristy type, I am. Planning a vacation with him is tricky to balance our needs for fun.
Yep! Tahoe has trout and salmon, and you can fly fish or hire a charter or just rent a kayak and fish the shallows. There is also fishing in rivers and other lakes up there, as well.
You could also rent a boat and just spend the day sunning while he fishes.

The bay area has great fishing too, and he could do a deep water charter trip while we all wander about the various antique shops and salvage yards.
Thank you for including me, but it's kind of a long drive from Portland. I would love to drool over pictures if you hit a bunch of cool shops in San Francisco.
