I'm due a little less than a month before DS's 5th birthday. I wouldn't mind upgrading to a Pathfinder or Pilot to get a 3rd row, but DH really likes his truck and I'm not keen on buying 2 new cars this year, so I've got to figure out a way to get 3 across in his Frontier. I'm really hoping we can make a booster for DS, current convertible for DD (or a Radian, if I have to... but gag on those prices), and a new infant seat for the baby. Good news is that companies are finally paying attention to the width of seats, so I have hope that it will be possible.
First, congrats!
Second, my goal this week is to figure out our car seat situation and hopefully get 3 across in our Ford Flex (even though we have a 3rd row) and I'll let you know how it goes and what car seats we end up with.
That would be awesome, thank you! And, do you like the Ford Flex? I haven't looked hard at car options, but I <3 Nissan and have had my eye on a Pathfinder for a while now, and a coworker raves about his Pilot, so that made my list, too.
This is super creepy but last night i totally had a (vivid pregnancy) dream that you posted an announcement!
Congrats!!!
Crazy! Glad to be joining your ranks of the pg club I don't usually remember my dreams, but I had a vivid one of being in labor with our 3rd last week! Thanks!

Yes, we love it. We got it shortly after #2 was born.
Right now we keep the 3rd row down flat and it's awesome having so much space. We take our dog to the lake often, over to the IL's house, etc. And tons of room for strollers, Costco runs, laying the kids down flat for emergency diaper changes.
But I've liked the flexibly of the 3rd row and we use it a handful of times a year when driving around a few other adults, etc.
My parents have a Ford Explorer and even though they are about the same size on the outside, our Flex definitely has more leg room and space on the inside.
One of my friends with a 5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old has a Pilot and loves it as well and has done a bunch of different car seat configurations in it.
Yayyyyyyyyy!!!! Congratulations! I was just thinking of you this morning!!
Did you decide to switch practices to the OB that delivered C?
Yes, good memory! The midwives I had been seeing now only deliver at South County, not Kent, so that made the decision easier. I'm slightly concerned I'll make it <10 minutes down the road to Kent, forget driving to Wakefield! Plus I'm sort of terrified this one will end up breech and I might not get lucky with that OB being on call again, so I did make the switch to him. Bonus points for the warm fuzzies I get about supporting an OB that truly practices evidence based medicine, haha!
