If you have a Britax Frontier Clicktight do you like it? Mind sharing your child's age, height & weight?
M is currently FF in a Britax Boulevard but he's getting close to outgrowing the seated shoulder height. BTW, I'm a little annoyed that the height limit is 49 inches & my 42" tall kid is outgrowing it already.
Overall I really like our Britax seats so I'm leaning towards the Frontier even though I haven't seen it in person. The upper limit for seated shoulder height (for the harness) is 20.5" which I think is one of the highest on the market for combination boosters.
I want to get one but saw a few reviews yesterday that there is a metal seam down the butt of the seat and kids complained about discomfort after long trips. Anyone have this problem?

Never, we've done 6+ hours multiple times, and two 12+ hour trips. She's never complained about her seat once.

Glad to hear everyone loves it. Next question - where can I get the best price? We'll need two so I would love to get them for less than $329 each if possible.
We love ours too. Dd is about 50 inches tall and 70 pounds. And she is still in the 5 point. Complains she wants to be in a seatbelt like her friends but I do not care because she is safer
Ashley&Scott we have one. DS is 3.5yo, 40" tall and 40lbs, I think he's almost the exact same size as M. DS was almost at the limit of his Britax Marathon and then we got in a fender bender, so we took the opportunity to have insurance replace it. The Frontier is currently in my mom's car, so I installed it but haven't used it much. It was a breeze to install. Route seatbelt through slot, push ClickTight panel shut, attach top tether. DONE. The harness fits DS very well, he's comfy but has lots of room to grow. He likes the cup holders I am happy to answer any specific questions you have!

I saw the seam, but DS didn't notice it at all. He's never complained. And he complained a LOT in his Britax marathon that his "penis is squished" (the crotch strap was too short). So I think he would complain if he felt the seam KWIM.

I'm planning on ordering from diapers.com. They randomly emailed me a 15% code the other day so it comes to $225ish. I also have an Amex deal on my acct for $10 back on $50 at diapers.com. I will tell you they kinda suck because they track people by street address vs email, etc for the new customers so you may not be able to use your DHs info.
If you want to save some money, you could get a Sureride for your lesser-used car. It has the second tallest harness (19") behind the Frontier, and it is usually $90ish. It will likely give you 3+ years more harnessed if I'm remembering the seated height limit of your Britax convertible correctly. Pretty easy to install FFing, and it is light so you can use LATCH to 50 lbs, I think. The twin is the Titan 65, and the deluxe version of that is $99 at Walmart and it has the push-on LATCH connectors.
Thanks! I'm willing to pay for the extra 1.5 inches I'll get from the Britax. I was digging through old posts & saw you say that on average the shoulder height is 1" per year. Plus I think it will be easier to have the same seat in both cars.
We love love love ours. DD is 3 y/o 40 in and 38lbs. We bought at kohls online. You cannot use a coupon but it was free shipping and we got $50 in kohls cash that we used for other things.

We are in this same situation! Ds is outgrowing his Marathon due to his torso height even though he's a good 20 lbs from the weight limit. I've done a ton of research (and asked about it on here) and decided to bite the bullet and get the Frontier. The torso height is so much higher than other seats that it makes sense for us. I think it will be a while before I can trust ds in a high back booster.

I measured M's seated shoulder height last night, he's between 14.5-15". I guess we have a little more time before we need to move up. I'm very excited to hear that everyone likes this seat though. I may try to find one locally to try out in the next few weeks just to make sure M likes it. I'm hoping to make it until BF to order.
asoctoberfalls diapers.com has a great deal on them. $264/seat. You can use a code on it too, I was playing around on their site yesterday, it let me apply SAVETIMES2 for an additional 15% off, expires 8/9 (I didn't complete the order though)

Good deal! Thanks! ill probably buy one now. DS's torso height is 16.25", so we don't have much time.
