How big was your child when they were in size 80's?
There is an adorable xmas dress in size 80 on a FB BST site but the girl in the picture looks like she is over 2. She says the dress in an 80 and technically that should fit DD by Xmas. She is 21lbs now. But that little girl is huge!
ETA--- ahhh, now I'm confused. WHo knows if it will fit at xmas. My guess is that she would be 24lbs and 15 months old. WDYT?
E wore a 80 Christmas dress last year at 19m. She can still fit some of her 80s dresses as tunics this summer.
ETA: This wasn't her Christmas dress, but this is a "it's a playdress, it's a daydress" that's an 80 she wore christmas eve. (I'm hoping I can get a 3rd winter out of this one.)

I feel like size 80 is most equivalent to size 18-24 months, if that helps you. Obviously some styles of dress (3/4 sleeves, long skirt) are more forgiving if you're not quite the right size.
DD still is at a little over 2.5. She's 24/25 pounds and not sure on height, but I know she isn't tall for her age. We won't be into 90s until the winter at least. The 90s I have for her now are too big when I tried them on her.
E wore 80s from 12-24ish months consistently. I would say you're safe if she'll be 15m then.
This. She really only moved into 90 dresses this spring/summer when she was in 2-3T.
You can always pair it with tights or leggings if it's a little short. I usually only end up sizing up for length, like ssmjlm said, she wears them as tunics when they outgrow as dresses.
I'm more afraid it's going to be too big and too long.
DD is in a 70 here at 17 months, 21 lbs and average height. We have the same dress in 80 and it's wayyyyy too big on her, to the point of looking sloppy and ridiculous.
I think the sizing on PJs is a little different. She's been in 80 PJs for months and they are def not too big.
