I have a pilonidal cyst. AGAIN. Holy hell body, what did I do to you?! The doctor won't do the surgery until it's no longer inflamed. That better happen soon or I will fuck someone up.
This would be the perfect time to do the surgery since it's actually slow at work right now and it could take up to a month for recovery time. September is when it gets really busy at work and doesn't end until December.
And since this is a cyst on my ass, it is REALLY uncomfortable to sit. And I sit at a desk for work most of the day. I've been out since Tuesday, this paycheck is going to suuuuck!

Ugh! I had one of those last spring. It was awful. I'm so sorry. Mine resolved quickly once it was lanced and I was on abx. I hope you're feeling better soon.
My H gets those too but refuses to see a doctor for it. I hope you feel better soon.
I urge you to urge him to get it removed. Mine had some major sinus tracts and if you let them go, they create more and get bigger. When they get bigger, they bleed a lot more, ooze a lot more, and smell a lot worse. Plus, it hurts. The surgery is relatively easy and depending on how you heal, it can be no biggie. I did open wound healing and packing the wound - twice. First time without stitches, second time with. Both were no big deal compared to actually having the cyst but I had to have surgery twice because the sinus tracts were in such a large area and deep, he missed a tiny one and when you miss even a tiny one, a new cyst will form.
Basically, tell your PIA husband to get his PIA removed!
ETA: Is sinus tract even right? I feel like having sinuses in your ass cheek isn't possible but that's how he describe it. Maybe tiny tubes that carry grossness is better.

Have him get this taken care of! The first time I had one, it took me a year to go in and have them check it out. Since it had gotten so bad, that's why the recovery process took so long.
I'm hoping since I had it checked out within a week means less recovery time.

I'm pretty sure he's had them off and on his whole life. I don't know WTF his mom never took him to the doctor about it as a kid (she's a nurse!). He had surgery to have mass removed a few months ago so he's finally getting past his doctor phobia. Next time this flares up he's going.
Apparently more common in men. Hopefully he'll get it checked out!
