How old is the system? It should be able to get cooler than 78 and your bill will just be high.
I genuinely have no idea. It's been fine until today. I've been keeping it at 76 during the day and sometimes bump it down to 74 during Cora's nap bc her room is the hottest, and had no issues!
It may be freezing up?
Go look at the system outside and see what the sticker says. Because they get a lot of use AC units just don't last as long here and it might need to be replaced. I'm so sorry you are having so many problems with your rental!
I know I mentioned this a few months ago but I think I might be depressed and I'm not sure why or what to do about it. Maybe the stress/anxiety of adding a second kid? Currently I'm really down about having ducking food restrictions in my last month of pregnancy and knowing I will have quite a few once baby comes is just too much. And DH doesn't want me to go to Costco with him tomorrow because he would be too embarrassed for me to drive/ride one of the carts.
My mom just delivered the Peanut Buster Parfait she bought for me and said, "It's a girl!" I was so confused. Apparently she thinks this baby is a girl because she craved ice cream like crazy with both my sister and I.
I didn't tell her that I really just wanted spoonfuls of hot fudge.
Yep. We wouldn't know at this point yet anyway, but my ultrasound is next week and we don't plan to find out this time. H wants to, but our compromise was that we found out last time and won't this time.
About to start watching Wet Hot American Summer on Netflix. Has anyone watched it yet? Hoping it's hilarious. Plus I love Amy Poehler.
Super hilarious. I'm assuming you saw the movie? Everyone is back, plus there are a zillion cameos from new people.
I actually haven't seen the movie but heard the netflix series was funny. If the actual movie is on Netflix, maybe we will watch that once we finish the series.
I will find out if I was accepted to the MSW program on the 19th. On the school's website it says that your application may be denied at anytime, so I hope the fact that I made it this far is a good sign.
The school is piloting an online accelearated bsw program, but unfortunately the deadline for that is before I will get the admission decision for the msw program. Plus I would ultimately go on for my msw, so that probably wouldn't be the best option. And it would mean taking 2 licensing exams instead of one.
Most of my coworkers know that I applied, so I will be super embarrassed if I don't get in, but at least they are all therapists and can help me with coping skills

I would watch the movie first if you can. You'll appreciate the show more, I think.
I have been super depressed lately for some reason. I don't know if my celexa is just no longer cutting it or if the meds for the FET are interfering with them or if it is a side effect of the FET meds or if I am just down because I am afraid it won't work this time. I have been crying all night. I work overnights all weekend otherwise I would be curled up in my bed right now. This really sucks. I don't know what to do.
H and I read through ladygrey 's entire boy name thread for ideas and only added Silas to our name list, as a very distant possibility. Plus we had a debate about whether Calvin Waffles sounds terrible. (It does.)
I feel like Silas will get popular soon, since JT named his son that.
That was on my name list for a little while, but since my last name also ends in "s", I took it off.
We have friends over tonight and I forgot how much fun they are. (We used to live together).
Ugh...I was having contractions all afternoon, which eventually became every 3-5 min apart by 6. After I put both girls to bed I had my brother come over and we headed to L&D. Apparently I'm only 3 cm and 50% effaced, so they gave us the option of going back home or walking for 2 hours. We're a half hour into walking, and I'm really, really hoping things start to pick up. It will be so frustrating to have to go through this all over again (particularly the childcare for the girls). And dd2 was born just 4 hours after contractions really hit, so I was thinking it'd be better to be at the hospital than home. Come on baby!

In a house with 2 daughters, I didn't think we would ever start and end a day with poop stories. This morning, I dropped the girls off at DC's parents' farm as they were finishing chores. DD2 is scared of cows and stays put. DD1 was trying to help and wound up falling in cow poop up to her thighs. They hosed her off and gave her a bath.
Tonight when we got home, DD2 was in her playroom sitting sideways and her rocking cow, butt slumped off and she told me potty! I figured she was playing. Nope. DD1 came running out telling me DD2 had peed and pooped on the rocking cow. Bright side is her pull up was dry!
today was just so so bad. DD was in a horrible mood and her behavior was atrocious. Of course she did not nap. As soon as DH walked in the door I peaced out and went and got a pedicure and got my car cleaned out and then picked up dinner for us. DD went to bed early and we are vegging now. I'm printing out coloring pages for my party tomorrow night. Lots of cleaning to do tomorrow but then the house will be spotless. My parents are watching DD on Sunday so we can get some projects done around the house.

Having just gone through this myself, it sounds like you need a coolant top-off. The same thing happened to us. The AC *was working*, but it couldn't hold the temp we set it at. The AC guy came out and topped off the coolant (freon?) and all is well.
