P fell asleep at 7:20, in her romper. I just stuck her in her sleeper and put her in bed for the night. Hopefully she won't be up at 5am as a result, but there was no keeping her up tonight. She was exhausted, normally she goes to bed at 8.
We are at the cottage. It isn't nearly warm enough for my liking. But the kids have been good. Tomorrow DH is golfing and I am not excited to fill 4 hours with both kids (MIL will be here at least). When we get home I am giving up sugar. For real this time.
We're having 3 other couples over tomorrow and the forecast is showing rain for the entire time. I guess we'll just hang out inside which is fine, but not as nice as being in the backyard. Then again if it doesn't rain and it's hot outside that's kind hard too because our massive 11 foot umbrella we got for the patio is back ordered and we still don't have it.
Oh and my entire menu and dessert is outdoor picnic-y foods so that sucks.
My friend just had a baby a few days ago. I have a touch of baby fever. I never did when I was having kids but now that I'm OLD & done more than likely I do. Annoying. Lol.
My day started off on a positive note. I took a private tennis lesson and then went to Method class. DS had a blast at the gym daycare.
Then I drove over an hour to visit 2 of DH's aunts and an uncle. (They all live together now - are in their 80's.) There was so much traffic. The drive home was brutal. DS was tired and hungry. It ended up being a 3 hr ordeal for a mere 30 minute visit. When we got home I had a killer headache. It just threw my day and my attitude off.
I haven't had a drink in weeks, and think I'll open a bottle of Lambic when DS goes to bed.
Lol per my FB and IG like all of us are having that root beer beer tonight. Me included! It's delicious!
I'm so pissed I got pregnant when thus came out. I want to make a root beer float with it so bad. I tasted my husband's bottle but he will never go for a root beer float.

We'll have fun no matter what happens with the weather!
My mom is coming over tonight to meet my sister's new dog. I just called her to see if she'd be willing to swing into DQ for her pregnant daughter on her way. She said yes. Winning!
H and I read through ladygrey 's entire boy name thread for ideas and only added Silas to our name list, as a very distant possibility. Plus we had a debate about whether Calvin Waffles sounds terrible. (It does.)
I feel like Silas will get popular soon, since JT named his son that.

House is spotless! Pictures for the listing are tomorrow morning.
We went by our lot and the sold sign is up. I told DH to post it on FB so it would be official, but he wants to tell bil first. Eff that, let him find out on FB like everyone else.
Another friday, another night of paintiNg. a few walls in the living room is the goal. It's huge and goes to the dining and kitchen so it will take us forever And has lots of windows, doors and builtinS.
Dh is doing it all, I'm watching and will have to put out. Win-win
I'm so fucking over this heat. I was okay the first week but now I'm just not.
Our AC broke last night so the guy came to fix it this morning (legit needed attention). I called him back at 4ish because it was 78 and climbing despite the temp being set at 74 (didn't want to go the weekend without AC).
He basically told me, welcome to TX. That I shouldn't expect it to get below that during the heat of the day.
At least we have ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms. :/
How old is the system? It should be able to get cooler than 78 and your bill will just be high.
We moved DD into her big girl room today, starting with naptime. She did AMAZING - rolled over without a peep and slept for her usual 2 hours. Here's hoping that the first overnight sans crib is equally successful.

I think this is true sadly. That is how it was in AZ. sorry it sucks.

I wanted to take off my nail polish tonight but I was all out of cotton balls. A nursing pad with polish remover does the job really fast! Now I know a use for the big box I bought right before my supply evened out...
