Yes, I think one to check the baby's size (I had GD) and a second at 38 weeks to check her positioning. Even though I was having a RCS, my OB wanted to know if he was "going to encounter a butt first."
I had a second at 31idh weeks because they didn't get adequate pictures of his heart at the a/s and with known heart conditions in my family it was highly recommended we revisit that.
I had a third hours before I was induced. My midwife suspected low fluid and was correct.
Yes, one at 38 weeks to check the baby's position, which is where we found out she was breech.
I am paranoid this one is breech. Not paranoid like OMG I REALLY NEED A VBAC AND THAT WILL RUIN IT but paranoid that they won't figure it out and I'll try for a VBAC and then a leg will come out or something. Like @notquiteblushing
Because I have an anterior placenta I don't feel her as much as DD1 and I worry the doctors don't really know her position. Irrational?
Not irrational at all. I keep having a gut feeling that kid #2 will end up breech as well. Even though I already have my RCS scheduled, it would still be an ironic twist.
Yes. I was high risk and had a pre term labor scare at 20 weeks so I had multiple ultrasounds. Once that resolved my OB was concerned because she hadn't flipped and was measuring large. The last one was at 36 weeks.
Yes. I had then every 4 weeks during K's pregnancy because they were monitoring my cervix.
With X, I had them every two weeks after I hit 14 weeks for cervix monitoring + a couple other ones while I was in the hospital before I went on bed rest.
My dr never uses the doppler, he just uses the small portable u/s machine at every appointment to find the heartbeat. So I get a super quick 3-5 min ultrasound at every appointment. Just enough to make sure baby is head down, has a decent amount of fluid and hear the heartbeat.
The weeks are fuzzy in my head now, but I don't remember when I was scheduled for one after 20 weeks but there was supposed to be one. I went to the OB at 28 weeks because I didn't feel the baby move for 18 hours, she did a mini one and literally dragged me to the hospital where they did a fancier one and said I had low AF. Then I had one weekly until 32 weeks at my MFM's office to monitor the fluid level which wasn't getting better. I was sent back to the hospital at 33 weeks for another scan and some IV fluids because the fluid level dropped more. I had one each morning that weekend - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The tech refused to tell me the AF number on Sunday. An entourage of OBs arrived and said "This baby is being born today."
