I'm sitting here debating loading up the baby and walking to Dunkin' Donuts to get breakfast. I could really go for a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich. Buuuut, that's 19 points and I really need to be serious about WW so I can fit back into my clothes at some point.
My H is working all weekend. I feel bad for him, but worse for me. I'm ready for a few hours w/o the baby and I don't see my break coming until Monday when my few hours away will be spent at work. Bummer.
I think we found a new apartment yesterday! YAY. I'm going to drop off our application today and hope for the best.
whiskeyandwine - can you walk to DD and get something else? Egg and cheese on an English muffin? I would totally go, just to have a reason to get out of the house!
I'm lying in bed waiting for DH and DS to wake up. I should probably take advantage of this time and hop in the shower but I don't feel like doing that yet. We are dropping my car off to get detailed later this am and then heading to a friend's house for her daughter's 4th bday party. Weather looks great - should be a fun day!
I finally finished that stupid book. It was awful. I just downloaded Girl on the Train from the library so hopefully that doesn't suck.
Plans today are real estate pictures, dropping a couple things off to my sister from cleaning, errands, and then DH's uncle and aunt are coming by to see E while they're in town.
H cracked me up last night. J handed him a book last night to read to him, and H looks at it and hands it back, saying he can't read that one. I look at it, and ask him why not, and H goes "I can't read that language"
Guys, the book was Llama llama misses Mama. He thought it was in Spanish.
I am so sick of constantly being woken up by animals when my kid is still sleeping on weekend mornings.
We have dinner plans at spk926's house this afternoon, but I'm not sure what to do with C until nap today. I really don't have anything planned, but always feel bad having a completely lazy morning at home.
Dh got me what should be an egg and cheese sandwich. When I woke up in the middle of the night it's all I could think of. It doesn't have cheese on it and they just chopped up the eggs. They aren't fluffy like I dreamt of.
There is a girl who writes a cooking column for the paper. It's so terrible. Last night was gag inducing. Grind up roast beef in food processer. Add pepper jelly. A whole ton of mayo. Pickles. Pickle juice. Grind some more. Slap on a bun. I'd rather take her recipes that call for 4 cans of cream of_____ (and I have no opposition to cream of____ sometimes, but OMG FOUR cans!). Or the week she tried to tell us how to make tuna melts in the microwave (Drunk college food anyone?) I literally do a "Her poor husband. Feel sorry for her kids!" speech every week. I also want her job! It'd be fun and I could do better making stuff up..lol.
I slept horribly last night. I have sutures from a derm procedure and they are so damn itchy. I was up half the night trying not to scratch and applying ice. Stupid.
Looks like rain today. I wanted to hit the pool before it closes on the 22. Hopefully tomorrow.
DD also picked out a couple movies at the library yesterday. Our DVD player only half works all of a sudden though. I'm bummed for her and this will not end well. Hopefully I can placate her with something on Hulu.
@mrsbecky we went to our first daycare party a couple weeks ago and I was soooo nervous. The other daycare moms knew each other well (from years of going there) but made a huge effort to include me and get to know me. It was wonderful!
Going to a parade this morning!
Neighbors invited us over tonight for drinks around their fire. We're seriously considering going over there after we out Bridget down and bringing the monitor. It's directly next door, but I'm still a little nervous. But, adult time!
I'm about to shower and then going with a friend to yoga in the park my gym is holding for our town's sidewalk sale. Hopefully I'll have fun with a friend and not make too poor a showing!
After that, just have a family day. We promised DS1 ice cream today.
I'm in the hotel lobby with Ben eating breakfast and watching Daniel Tiger. Ethan grunted from 6-8 and then finally passed out just in time for Ben to wake up so I took one for the team and let DH sleep.

We are in Vermont!
I'm jealous of this. My dream is to move to Vermont. It's so pretty.
I am baby and H free today. I am also car-less, so i can't do any errands. I am currently taking a bath and doing a face mask. Some tv and a nap are on deck.
On my way to a work conference! I feel guilty for not feeling bad about leaving. I'll miss the baby, but I'm also excited to spend a weekend with some of my favorite colleagues. That's okay, right? I'm not missing a mom gene?

My mom used to make a sandwich like that roast beef crap. Is this lady a 50s housewife? Does she use a lot of jello?
LOL. She's not that old. Probably late 40s. And yes, all her salads involve some form of jello.
I think she's touting herself as "easy farm food." what she comes up with is not farm food. I mean I can rattle 10 things to do with a beef roast that are easier than that and taste 100xs better. I know about 8 casseroles that take little or no cream of ___. She gets talked about a lot here. Even by farmers who eat anything...haha.
ssmjlm what book did you read? I just finished Go Set A Watchman and it wasn't as great as I had hoped.
Going to get oil changed in our cars and hopefully going to the Farmer's Market! We just discovered it and it was something we really missed about our old neighborhood.

I'm so jealous I could cry. So, if you're missing a mom gene so fucking am I.
We had friends over last night and two of us sat in the hot tub and talked forever. It was so nice; I miss impromptu GTGs since we moved out of our condo.
Today one of dd's friends is coming over to play in the kiddie pool on the roof. No plans other than that all weekend!
