They told the crowd to disperse and arrested those who didn't, but these assholes show up and don't get asked to disperse?
Yes.
And what's more, there are still people waiting to be released from prison. After being promised (in writing) that it would be a speedy process.
Black Movement-Law Project Calls for Immediate Release of All People from i-70 Action in St. Louis
For Immediate Release: August 11, 2015 Contact: Nicole Lee, Black Movement Law Project 202-270-0774 Brendan Roediger, Professor of Law, St Louis University Law School 314-749-0424 Yesterday afternoon, approximately sixty people were arrested during an action on i-70 organized to bring attention to the ongoing killings of Black people by law enforcement and vigilantes throughout the country. Many of those arrested were legal observers, medics and primary organizers documenting and responding to police misconduct during the action. Abi Hassen, co founder of Black Movement Law Project was among those arrested. Legal observers have been receiving reports that people who remain in jail have been given no water or food and remained handcuffed for up to nine hours. St. Louis County Chief of Police Jon Belmar had stated that people would be released without bond but now, 18 hours after arrests began, people remain in jail. We call for the immediate release of all those arrested and jailed. Supporters are urged to call 314-615-5245 and demand the immediate release of all those in jail. From TUPOCC The United People of Color Caucus of the NLG: "Today protests and uprisings continue in Ferguson, MO in response to continued police and state violence and in memory of Mike Brown who was murdered by Police Officer Darren Wilson one year ago. St. Louis County has declared a state of emergency in response to the protests and police officers have targeted activists with tear gas and arrests…The arrest of the legal observers during these protests was completely unwarranted and unconstitutional. Targeting of legal observers is merely a tactic aimed at undermining legal support structures in the movement and it will not be tolerated. TUPOCC remains in unequivocal solidarity with the movement for Black liberation in Ferguson and across the country and calls again for an immediate end to police repression of activists." Zip from CNN too. BUT, and this is important - a captain from Deadliest Catch has died. That's a lead headline on their front page, right up at the top.

Yeah, NYT and others have some stuff but not a lot. I think WSJ has had the most coverage so far.
But I'm getting 99% of the info from social media, from people on the ground. Shameful. (Of the media outlets, not of the people posting)
