Apparently when DH's company raised our insurance rate ($200/month) our deductible started over again so now we have to pay $1000 toward pregnancy/birth we weren't planning on.
I read what activities your kids are involved in, and HOLY SHIT!
I thought we were busy! But Elle has dance 2X a week and tumbling 1X week. Natalie has dance 1X week (different night of course) and gymnastics 1X week (thankfully the same night as tumbling). And that seems busy enough. Of course I work three nights a week, so my husband basically hates me that I do this to him. lol
I still don't know E's dance schedule yet! The premier coordinator has not told us. Typically my dad somehow gets stuck taking her as her classes often start at 4. Which is fine by me
Oh also my kid needs a middle name. And a first, but middle ideas would be great. Probably going with Lena or Grant as first names.
Dramatic confession: I kind of regret letting DD pick DS's MN. She never even uses it and there are a few names that would have held more meaning for me or DH.
I have both kids at home with me this week. It's a little rough. Today DD1 was swinging a wooden pull toy around and it clobbered DD2 in the forehead. Womp womp. They are keeping me busy.
Also when Phish is on tour I tend to cheat on you guys with my Phish forums and spend way more of my time there. There is some good Phish drama around if anyone wants to be filled in on that. lolol.
I could google this, but since you are bored... How for is Manhattan from The KC airport? Also how is the weather in winter? Debating a trip in December...
I'm a one trick pony these days of "our house is on the market, why won't people come look at it?, we're going to lose our asses because of this aren't we?" I'm sick of it so I can't make other people listen to it.
Here's a WWYD: One BFF is having her DD's first birthday party Saturday at 11 about 40 minutes away from our house. Other BFF is having her 3 kids' (we are the god parents to one of them) birthday party Saturday at 12 about 15 minutes from party one, but about 40 minutes from home. DD takes her long afternoon nap around 1:15. Do we go late to party 2 after party 1 is over and hope DD will sleep in a PNP at the house? Go to party 2 only long enough to drop off a gift and then go home? Or skip party 2 all together? Skipping party 1 or leaving early isn't an option.

Yes, please. I don't need gory details, but is the drama actually Phish related? Like, did someone sleep with a band member and others are getting all heated? Or is it people in the Phish forum getting all crazy on Volvos vs. Subarus?
It's more of the latter.
There is a lot of drama surrounding a group of maybe a dozen-18 people who have been in the front row in the general admission pit, right next to the stage for every single Phish show for years. One guy in particular has seen literally hundreds of shows from the rail. They claim spots up front and then don't let anyone else up there and people get pissed about their "rail mafia" system and come on the boards and complain about it.
Another hot topic today is that there is a festival next weekend, and they just announced that a nice restaurant in Syracuse will be offering a 5 course gourmet, locally sourced, farm to table meal nightly at the festival for a price of $122 per person (per night). Not a terrible price tag for what it is. But people are SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY pissed that anyone is paying $122 for a meal at a music festival because Phish festivals should be socialist utopias where everyone eats grilled cheese and LSD for dinner.
So basically it is like Mommy wars and people clutching their pearls at $4k Tula wrap conversions. But for stoners.
I want a fancy purse. Someone on ML posted the Burberry banner and I LOVED it! But then I saw it in person and was unimpressed.
Someone shop for me?
I would prefer grey or tan, some structure, and possibility of crossbody. Relatively large, but it doesn't need to carry a computer or files (I've got my OG for that).
This is super surprising to me. I never would have guessed you were a fancy purse person!
I'm gearing up for bunco with the ladies from my old neighborhood. I go only because it's talk or be talked about. I always come home feeling super self conscious but grateful that we moved. At least I won't be doing bedtime!
So I went to my mystery meeting with potential daycare, and sure enough they want to offer a temporary toddler room at their after school program to tide us over until the real one opens. They plan to make it small enough that it doesn't require a license. Argh. So conflicted.

DW and I are both buzzed on a brewery tour and DD just had her first ever blowout. We couldn't stop laughing as we changed her and DW's pants are covered in poop. MOTYs.

I would say 2.5 hours depending on traffic in KC.
I made that I-70 drive many times! No from so far north though.
