Ah so we enter the "these accomplishments aren't really accomplishments" phase of the discussion.
Lobbying your own husband to get him to sign a bill is not an accomplishment, no. Who knows what she has on him. That was probably straight up blackmail.

What the fuck? That's one of the stupidest things I've ever read.
I want to say one more thing. What the GOP is defining as "accomplishment" is actually a very male-centric, narrow view of the word "accomplishment."
If you define accomplishment as only the things that you independently led and managed, then obviously a CEO or a Governor is going to have a longer list.
But "accomplishments" is so much more than that. I want to know that someone can work on a team or can develop ideas that other people respect and carry through to completion. Someone doesn't need to be the star or hold an official title of that suggests they are in charge to have accomplished something.
In 2008, everyone was all, OMG as Secretary of State, she is going to steal the spotlight from Obama because she's a power hungry bitch. What is he thinking?!?!?!! But she didn't. She did her job without fanfare like a dedicated member of the administration and team player should do. And now these same people are all, BUT WHAT DID SHE DO!!!!!!!!!!!
That's not how this works. Her accomplishment is that she contributed in a meaningful and important way to the Obama administration's foreign policy and diplomacy. If you think the administration has done a good job there, there is her accomplishment. What more do you need to know?
Don't pretend you'd respect her more if she was a glory hog.
I'm late today, but as I was reading the links I had the exact same thought. "Oh, she was :::Dick quotes::: instrumental, was she? She played a 'leading role'? Like in the staff Christmas pagent?" No one but a dictator gets anything "accomplished" all on his own. Walker didn't single-handedly destroy his state. He had plenty of help from interest groups and legislators.
OMG. Who here thinks the Clintons have a happy healthy marriage? I am seriously side-eyeing anyone who says they do.
And yes, I'm aware you don't care.
Since I'm not a part of their marriage, I really can't opine on how happy or healthy it is. Neither can you. Moreover, it's none of my fucking business. But the fact that you even went there in a thread about her accomplishments that qualify her for President tells me you're a simple, small-minded idiot who can't construct an actual argument and so resorts to name calling. It's perfectly obvious.

Hi, I'm really dumb.
Could you please explain to me how getting your hubby, the POTUS, to sign legislation means you have a good marriage? Or is that a bad marriage sign? As you can see, I'm pretty confused.

What the everloving FUCK does the state of her marriage have to do with her professional accomplishments.
Nothing. That's fucking what.
And that's why it's some shit that you're raising it.
And why you're being called out on it.
The problem is this is the reasoning that a (hopefully small) section of American voters are using in their non-support of Clinton, unquestionably an invaluable candidate. Even though it's frustrating for us to read in these threads of peers' political opinions, it's also enlightening to me, as I know what some people will actually use to discredit her... In Real LIFE!! Ugh ?

Since this thread is back to being ridiculous, I would like to remind everyone that a vote for meshaliu is a vote for a toy mouse in every living room! Because I CARE about the happiness and health of all of our citizens.
IN WHAT WORLD IS BEING SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NOT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT??
CAPS CAPS CAPS!
Right? Remember in 2004 when being editor of the Harvard Law Review wasn't an accomplishment? We've really raised the bar!
Well, come January of 2017, at least she'll be able to add PRESIDENT OF THE GODDAMN UNITED STATES AND LEADER OF THE F'IN FREE WORLD!!! to her resume. I wonder if that will be considered an accomplishment.

Pfffffft. She'll only be a girl president, not a Real President.
She'll only be Lady President because of her husband!!!!!!! Doesn't count!!!

Good thing Bill will be there to blackmail her into making the right decisions...since her female brain can't do it on her own.
Seriously I don't want to live in a world where HRC isn't considered accomplished. What does that make me then?
My big accomplishment this week was going full suburban mom and Jackson telling me I made him the best lunch ever. I was simultaneously thrilled and mourning how utterly sad that was.
If she's not accomplished, I'm basically the equivalent of an ameoba.

Right? I hope in my lifetime to "not accomplish" a tenth of what she has.
