I agree, better safe than sorry. With your dad's health history & the various ways that heart issues can present themselves, it's a good idea to get checked.
If it makes you feel better, I once went to the doctor (thankfully not the ER!) for pains in my chest. The diagnosis? A strained muscle in my chest. The culprit? Wedding gowns! LOL. I was in a bridal show & had to change in and out of like 9 wedding gowns in a show (about 3 minutes from time off stage to getting back on). Between that & carrying bags of multiple gowns, I managed to strain a muscle. Oh, and the doctor is a family friend, so I had to see him again.

Do NOT feel bad! Those are actually symptoms of heart attacks in women, and so many ignore the signs because of "feeling silly". So glad yours was nothing but it is always better to follow up!

I agree you did the right thing. Chest pain in women can be so different and it's better to go. I work in a hospital and see a lot worse things come into the ER. Don't feel bad at all.
