I had sharp crotch pains toward the end of my labor with DD. But I had them other times too when I wasn't in labor just from the pressure. My contractions felt like everything tightening around my middle. I never felt anything like that in my back. I wonder if baby is just sitting on some nerves? If you're writing and can't move I would ask your doctor though.
My cx always came in waves vs. static pain. I can't remember specific vag pain, but prob had some. Felt like horrible cramps. I had a lot of sharp pain that my OB said was Round Ligament pain.

Crotch pressure is the worst. I remember when I was in labor with dd my doula was laughing at me because I kept standing up off the ball, as if that would help. I just wanted to get away!
I hope things calm down and you make it to your section.

Start paying attention if it starts again. I had an app or a piece of paper, and at first I thought it was nothing (and I ended up induced so in the end it was I guess) but they were definite contractions. It wasn't until actually paying attention and writing it down that it clicked though.
Also don't discount the possibility of back labor.
I didn't have the back pain or the stabbing pain-lots of rectal pressure. My contractions usually felt like they started from the top of my uterus in waves all the way down, like if someone was clenching it hard with a fist.
Definitely call! Writhing in pain is never a good thing.
I haven't had much back pain but definitely get the stabbing crotch pains here and there. I always get excited like ooh maybe labor is starting, but clearly that has not been the case.
