One of my coworkers would come into my cube and wake me up. I'd be embarrassed, and depending who it was they might give me a hard time about it, but it's unlikely that I'd be formally reprimanded.
I have a coworker that likes to siesta right next to me. He falls asleep about 2 pm everyday. We just make jokes between us by about calling him sleepy smurf and threatening using a water bottle.
No management around to reprimand him..so what can we do?

Some days no one would notice. But if someone did, they would probably laugh and wake me up. I wouldn't get in trouble.
I found my CW asleep one afternoon. She sometimes stays later than me, so I went to check if she was there before turning off all the lights. I just left and pretended I didn't see, lol.
Another (older) man in our branch falls asleep in meetings fairly regularly. No one does anything.
My assistant would probably come wake me up to tell me a patient has arrived. At which point I'd have to get it together and wake up and go see that person.

This happened to guy I worked with years ago. He would doze off quite a bit, and unfortunately for him, his cube was along a main aisle to a group of conference rooms, so there was a lot of foot traffic.
Someone took a picture of him sleeping on his keyboard, and it got emailed to a ton of people very quickly. Not long after, our director talked to us as a group and said that if we had unprofessional pictures on our computers, to delete them, so we knew it had gotten to her.
The guy wasn't doing that great anyway, and not long after, he was fired.
My coworkers would laugh their asses off at me and they would never let it go.
They would probably let me sleep knowing I'm sleep deprived from my child waking up twice every night. Now that I think about it They would actually have sympathy for me probably.
If it was when my students were in my room I would be in big trouble.
If it was during my prep nobody would probably notice unless they came into my classroom. It wouldn't be a big deal at all unless I didn't wake up on time and forgot to pick my students up from specialists.
DH got reported once because someone thought he was asleep. His boss said, "He's written 12 documents in 2 weeks. If he can nap and be that productive, I'm all for it!" Ironically, the worst performer at that job would nap regularly at his desk with no repercussions
I'd be fired on the spot. Man there were some days when I was pregnant and it was naptime that were hard to stay awake. Sitting in a pitch black room with soft music playing for two hours fighting pregnancy fatigue. Not fun.

Someone would notice, and would be very worried about me/my health. I might be asked to adjust my time so I'm not paid for sleeping, and be sent home for the day. I don't think anything negative would happen unless it happened repeatedly or I seemed nonchalant about it.
One of my old coworkers kept a pillow in his cube.
No one would notice for a while since I have my own office. If they did I'm sure they'd be too embarrassed to say anything. I'm civil service so as long as I'm getting my work done and not falsifying time sheets no one would care.
I fell asleep in my office a few times during the few months I was back at work between maternity leave and quitting. My coworkers laughed at me and told me I should put formula in my babies' bottles to get them to sleep through the night.

I have two coworkers who always fall asleep at their desks. No one says anything. I always just walk by and shake my head in disbelief. I really don't know if they have been talked to by our boss or the department director but it happens quite frequently.
Now, nothing. I work from home and have a Don Draper style napping couch in my office I regularly stretch out on the sofa during my lunch. I have a little flexibility with my schedule, I suppose if I fell asleep while working, I'd just work a bit later or something.
If I were actually in the office, I'm not sure - my current co-workers would probably be lovely about it, maybe give me a little bit of shit, and buy me a coffee.
I think if it were happening on the regular, it would be a problem. We had an admin at a previous company who fell asleep all the time. She said she was on medication, but people would find her passed out at her desk, sleeping in the bathroom, out in her car well past lunch time, etc. They gave her a few warnings, but eventually had to let her go.
