We were supposed to be going to a wedding this weekend. Some family friends we haven't seen in ages, but who are none the less very special. Went to the airport to get on our flight this morning, only to have it delayed for 5 hours and then ultimately cancelled. Frontier fucked around so long with the delays that getting another flight out is all but impossible because of time/cost. Even trying to get out tomorrow would cost us all an extra $1k for flights, and we'd still probably miss the ceremony, only to turn around and come back on Sunday afternoon. So now, we aren't going. I just want to say a very special FUCK YOU to Frontier Airlines. I want so badly to yell at someone right now, to scream and tell them it's all their fault. GRRRRR.
Slightly @@ Related Part I was so looking forward to showing off my kids, there are a number of people that haven't seen them yet. I was looking forward to having them be all dressed up and cute, and dancing with them. I bought them adorable little outfits, and now we've absolutely no place to where them. Not to mention I was looking forward to dressing up and dancing with H.
I was looking forward to going out that morning and having my hair done with my mama, and my aunts, and friends, and drinking champagne/mimosas and having breakfast and gossiping the way family does! Not to mention that I spent all week doing laundry and running errands trying to get ready for this stupid trip.
I'm so pissed to be missing this.
Thank you for letting me vent, and please remember to tell Frontier Airlines that omgzombies says to kindly fuck off whenever you come across their path.

I'm not usually an internet vigilante but I'd be taking to Twitter to get that corrected if Frontier doesn't do it voluntarily. They should be reimbursing you for the flights and then some.
I'll share your Frontier hate after some abysmal customer service experience.
:drink:
What I don't understand though is why you'd have to pay $1k tomorrow. Frontier should have rebooked you at no cost.
(For example, even though I am annoyed at Delta in general for delaying my flight last week so I missed my connection, they did pay for me to fly on a different airline to get to my final destination the same day with about a 2 hr delay.)

Word. Jet Blue rebooked our flight at no cost when we missed our tiny plane connection because of some JFK fuckery.

They give you $400pp for another flight or a refund, and a $200 credit toward future flights. But $400 isn't enough to cover a same or next day flight, the other flights are in the $6-$700 range, and with 4 people that adds up real fast, and I'm not paying an extra $800-$1k (plus we'd still have a 4 hour drive, because the airport that would actually be closest is charging $2k per person) to get in just in time to miss the ceremony, be at the reception, and then turn around and fly home the next day. And fuck if I am ever giving them more of my money. I don't make the same mistakes twice.

Seriously? That is f-d up and gives me more incentive never to fly Frontier again. I've never flown an airline that hasn't paid for the full cost of my re-booking by at least the next day (which I realize may still have been too late for your wedding). And let me tell you, I have a *lot* of practice with missing connections. Ugh.
ETA And the $200 credit is laughable since you will also probably never fly them again.

We got screwed the one time we flew Frontier. They gave us vouchers that expired in a year, & we already had our trips/ vacation days planned/spent. Bastards. ( )

Yes seriously. Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs.
I cried for a few minutes and poured myself a drink, and have settled down (relatively). I have now convinced H to go on a road trip to go visit some friends that live a couple hours away that we don't see often enough. I figure the suitcases are already packed, might as well make use of them. But still... not that far below the surface, suuppa-pissed.

We were going to fly with frontier a few weekends ago. I checked the flight status before going to the airport and all was well. We went to check in and the flight was cancelled. We were told they had no more flights to our destination but we could call a certain number and they would book us on another airline and pay up to 400$ per person. Well I waited on hold for an hour and a half and no one ever answered. Finally I gave up and spent 800$ to fly with United since we had to arrive by a certain time. I was pissed.
Frontier is horrible. We flew them at Christmas and our flight was canceled. The soonest they could rebook us was 48 hours later and they offered us nothing for compensation.
They're rated the 2nd worst airlines after Spirit. I just read this yesterday, which was a day after I booked a flight to/from Cincinnati on them because they're about the only that go nonstop from Denver. Between their fees to pick a seat AND check/carry on baggage, they can kiss my ass.
Frontier is the worst. I'd use some of the money you would have spent on the trip on a professional photo session so you have an excuse to dress the kids in their cute clothes.
