We took the day off, sent DS to daycare, and spent the day doing fun stuff with DD. When DH got home with DS, DD looked at him and ask sweetly, "why'd you bring him home?"

Now that DS poops in the potty, I have to guess if he did a Daddy poop, a Mommy poop, or an Owen poop. The goal of course is for a Daddy one. Sometimes I wonder how he makes so much poop, but not having it in diapers is life changing.
In a desperate attempt to get some adult time, I just told the big boys that after we got DS3 to bed, they could curl up on the upstairs couch with some cozy blankets and popcorn and watch a movie while DH and I eat take out and have a "date" downstairs. DS2 (5yo) responded: "If you want to go on a date, you should have used care.com. They have lots of date night sitters."
DD started wearing a paper towel tucked into her shirt like a cape. I'm not sure what started it, but every time she sees the roll of paper towels now she says, "Oh! My super hero! Need my cape!"
My 2.5 year old son loves my pony tail. He loves to touch it, rub it against his cheek, you get the idea. One morning I patted the back of his head and asked him, Where is YOUR pony tail? He didn't miss a beat and said that it was in the lost and found in the city.
Ever since then every time I ask him where is his pony tail, he gives me a different answer. It's been in Alabama, at the beach, in Pa's boat, he left it at Kroger. I never know what is going to come out of his mouth.
