I have a very heavy period right now from being on blood thinners. . I bled through three super tampons last night, all over the fucking place.
I called urgent care at 2am and they said i can go in and they can give me something to keep me from cramping and I guess make the period lighter? But I feel like as soon as I leave everything will be fine. I should go right?

Probably too late, now, but when I had periods that wouldn't end (not related to blood thinners, related to menopause) they put me on pitocin (I think; it was a few years ago. It was definitely a drug used during labor induction), which actually caused cramps, but quickly slowed/stopped the bleeding. I might go to an ER for that kind of bleeding, but I'd also follow up with PCP asap, too. Good luck!
I am so sorry you're dealing with this. after my PE, I went to the gyn on the 3rd day after being discharged fom the hospital to get a mirena put in. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I cant recall how long you are going to be on blood thinners. I hope your gyn has a good solution for you.

3 months. And then reevaluate from there with another ultrasound.
Kids come back September 9th, we go back Sept 1. My mobility is way better, but not perfect yet. I'm in PT twice a week. I have a note from the dr stating that I have to elevate my foot as needed. I don't want to get marked down if the principal comes in and I'm sitting down. To be honest, I'm a little afraid to go back to school.

I used to teach and I can understand how you feel. I hope you continue to improve.
I'm glad you have a little more time. Our schools are starting early this year.

My gyn said they don't like putting one on for such short periods of time. FX you get a good solution from yours. Hang in there!
I'm glad you went in. My periods alternate monthly from okay to horror movie. One of the questions my hematologist asks me every year when I see him deals with my flow and while can be high, it's not that high. It's one of those lovely little "side effects" they don't warn you about when you go on thinners.
