I want to be open minded but this article smells like quack medicine. It reminds me of the Victorians and how much they idealized special snowflakes with delicate constitutions.

The energy vampires just remind me of that girl in high school who was always talking about how she can sense auras and past lives. And I hung around with a lot of those people. I'm speaking from experience.
And I'm back. I'm thinking more about this and getting more confused. If you have a medical condition that causes you to seek blood then seek therapy. Otherwise, why can't you be like every real life vampire of the past few decades and drink the sherry you stole from your mom's liquor cabinet from a chalice while calling it blood?
It wouldn't surprise me, with the exception of the psi vampires. I could believe that there are some people out there that crave the taste of blood. I can't roll my eyes hard enough at the people I've met who claimed they were psi vampires though.

Isn't that just a toxic person?
In general, yeah, but I guess "emotional vampires" go beyond that and also are very charismatic. I guess I'm seeing how there are people in the world who can be more than just a run-of-the-mill toxic person or frenemy or someone with a personality conflict, however rare.
