I remember when Dre's attack on Dee Barnes became public.
I also remember Dre saying in an interview a long time ago that he wanted to stop the misogyny in his music because he was a husband and a father but his wife told him he had to keep calling women bitches and hos because that's what rap music was.
I didn't know about this either. Thank you for sharing the article. It's sickening how women's stories, especially black women's stories, get pushed to the side as unimportant. It's even more insulting when it's something this important.
While they didn't show this attack, they really didn't paint the guys in a good light when it came to women. Like the article says, the majority of the women were naked or in sex scenes on the tour bus. There wasn't s lot of respect for women and that has been steady in hip hop. It's one of its failings IMO.
