Trial date set in Tensig shooting of DuBose

CINCINNATI -- A trial date is set in the case of a fatal shooting involving a former University of Cincinnati police officer.

Ray Tensing will stand trial on Nov. 16 in the death of Sam DuBose. The shooting happened during a July traffic stop off campus property.

Court officials said a backup date of Nov. 12 was also proposed.

Attorney Stewart Matthews said he plans to file for a change of venue but that he doesn’t believe it will be successful.

Matthews has until a week before the trial to file the motion.

Tensing’s attorney said he is going through all the evidence and that the prosecution has provided everything it is supposed to.

I am irritated that Tensig's attorney is making the claim that because of Deters' remarks earlier, he believes Tensig will not get a fair trial locally. Look, Deters calling his actions asinine are not why Tensig is considered a fuckhole. His actions in the video sealed his fate, IMO.
