2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I made it through a family bbq with no one guessing! DH kept drinking beers and putting his empties in front of me. I can't believe that worked. On the down side, I got treated to my cousin's horror story of a delivery for her new baby. No one would have told me that story if they knew. So, so bad.
Ummm, not necessarily true, lol. Some people like to school you on what you're in for, even though labors are all SO different. I kind of find birth stories fascinating, but obviously some are harder to hear.
Lol, okay that's true. My aunt isn't the type to do that though. She's going to feel horrible when she realizes.

1. How far along are you? 17w3d
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? My friend (who is also DH's boss) has started planning my shower, even though it's over 4 months away. She tends to go overboard, but some other friends who are helping her are more down-to-earth, so I hope it doesn't get too crazy. She asked me for theme ideas, and I chose daisies.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I reference the Mayo Guide to Pregnancy occasionally. I found Expecting Better to be really informative.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Walls light green, decorations yellow, grey, and white. I think I want a wall decal, and I've seen dandelion ones I think are cute. There will be a few cute bird pictures, like this:
1: 10 weeks 2: We announced to our families early this time and it's weird having people know. I wish it could stay a secret until like month 9.5. Questions are so annoying. 3: Mayo clinic pregnancy guide 4: For a boy it's already done (more a color theme), but for a girl I would do an Italian travel theme.
1. How far along are you? 16w2d 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I finally popped...a little. It still depends on what I'm wearing but we had DSD's bday on Saturday and people were commenting on my belly 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? Ummmm, I haven't read any. Maybe I should jot down some of the ones mentioned in this thread lol 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Nope. We don't know what we're having yet so I haven't even though of it. Plus, the baby will be sharing a room with one of the stepkids, depending on what it is, so both rooms are getting an overhaul anyway.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? Lately I've been having lots of heartburn and RLP, but that's okay because I also feel lots of movement, so I'm happy.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I read a few, including the Mayo Clinic guides to pregnancy and the baby's first year. I have a few more from the library I need to get to.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? So far all the things I bought are animal-themed - safari sheets and sleepers, etc.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? Like most of the other 3rd tri moms, I'm over being pregnant. I can't lay down in bed anymore, because of the pelvic pain. So, I've been sleeping in the living room on our recliner. I don't like sleeping down there, but at least I'm sleeping.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I got a lot out of "When you're expecting twins, triplets, or quadruplets". Made me really happy I'm not having triplets or quads right now.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? We painted a robin's egg blue color and put up white cloud decals. All of our furniture is white and we have pops of greys and orange. I'll probably post a photo next week once it's done.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? My dry cleaner said I was "very big" for only 4 months. Thanks, lady.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? Pregnancy: Mayo Clinic, but I find the Baby Center emails just as helpful. I haaaaaaated The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. Childcare book: American Academy of Pediatrics guide to the first five years. DVD: Happiest Baby on the Block.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Nope. Baby will most likely be in our room for the first few months and we will be moving at some point, so we'll see.
Oh the evil responses I come up with when people say shit like that. It's so annoying.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? It's looking more and more like today is baby day and that I'm going to be needing some medical assistance to get things moving. I'm pretty bummed but I know it's best for baby.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I really liked expecting better. I have not read as much on the childcare end of things.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? No theme really. Aqua with orange and magenta accents. MIL is trying to get a fox/woodland creature theme going in there and keeps buying us fox stuff. I don't care enough to stop her
1. 10w 1 d 2. The last week and a half has been rough dealing with morning sickness. At least it's either before I leave the house or right before bed. Even my H can't wait for this period to be over. 3. I've only got What to Expect but I may have to grab a few of the others that have been listed. 4. We've tossed around a few ideas but nothing is decided yet.
3. I didn't read a lot of books....got most of my info from on here.
4. Is it bad to just re-use nursery stuff from #1? It's gender-neutral (animal-themed). We want to re-do DS' room as a "big boy" room and will probably pick a new theme.

Hi I'm new and this looked like a good time to say hello! 1. 7 weeks with #2 2. I've been spotting a little which is stressful but otherwise have zero symptoms! Last time I had them all so I'm trying to enjoy feeling good and not freak out until my first appointment next week! 3. Nothing this time around so far. Last time I enjoyed what to expect for the most part. I might pick up happiest baby as it seems we did everything wrong as far as sleeping goes with #1! 20 months and still not sleeping through the night!! 4. Nothing for the nursery yet but we will be moving DD out of the nursery so we will convert her hot air balloon theme to Around the world in 80 days. I think...
You don't have to stop sleeping on your back or stomach at this point. Especially not your back. The reason to avoid that is to not have the weight of your uterus compressing your blood flow, but at 14 weeks you wouldn't have enough bulk there to cause a problem. Also, even later in pregnancy, it is ok to sleep on your back if it is comfortable because you're body will adjust your position if your blood flow does become impeded. You'll just change positions in your sleep. Obviously if you are physically uncomfortable don't do that but I didn't want you losing sleep this early when you can still sleep on your back or stomach!
Thank you! I know that's true, unfortunately, I'm still bloated and sleeping on my stomach is not comfy for long . On my back I woke up the other night and my whole right side was numb- no idea if it was related but it REALLY freaked me out!
We went ahead and bought and back and belly pillow and I slept on it last night and it seemed to help!
2. I'm feeling stupid-stress about putting together our registry. We're not having a shower, so we're not doing a big registry. But a few family members keep asking about it, because they'd like to get us something "nice." (Which is awesome of them, of course, the stress comes from me not really knowing what I really "need".) There are a couple big ticket items I really want (a BOB), but not many. We already bought our crib and glider; we received a hand me down infant car seat + stroller frame for it, and other than the BOB I'm feeling pretty unsure about strollers. The breast pump we'll get through insurance. I feel pressure to come up with/pick out/finalize other bigger stuff.
3. I got a bunch of books in 1st tri, but I haven't really touched them since. It's probably time to dust them off and try to figure out what we're doing.
4. Adirondacks.
We ordered the glider (neutral) last night. Still a lot of work to go on the nursery itself. It's so full to the gills of handed down baby clothes and a mix of baby stuff that people have given us that it's hard to actually work on the room itself.
Do you mind sharing where you found that fabric? I love it, H and I are hikers. Also, we are on vacation in the Adirondacks this week and I am in heaven!
1. 18+3 2. detailed anatomy scan this morning with the MFM-everything looks great! we are over the moon 3. I liked the Panic Free Pregnancy and Happiest Baby on the Block video 4. not yet!
1. 33w 6d! 2. My family baby shower was yesterday. My aunt told me no less than three times how big I was, and was I sure there was only one baby in there? I finally told her I didn't want to hear that and walked away and barely spoke to her the rest of the day. 3. I didn't find any pregnancy books that I actually found helpful, so I really don't have a favorite unfortunately. I'm open to recommendations for childcare books though. 4. Our theme is nautical. Navy, green, aqua and baby blue. Little whales, crabs, anchors, etc. We love it.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? It's looking more and more like today is baby day and that I'm going to be needing some medical assistance to get things moving. I'm pretty bummed but I know it's best for baby.
eee! good luck! hope things start moving along with minimal intervention for you.

Good luck ebeth and farmvillelover 1. 24 weeks 2. Nothing new still feeling good 3. I've enjoyed the mayo clinic guide to pregnancy 4. We are doing a woodland theme
