Morning! 1. How far along are you? 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share?
1. 21 weeks 2. Registering took a LONG time. I feel like we have a million different swaddles / sleep sacks. 3. Right now I'm reading Ina May's book and find it very empowering (and kinda scary!). 4. Just finished this up for the playroom. Letters will go around the top of the room, painted in colors to match the rug. Already have all the furniture, yay for repurposing. Still need to figure out artwork. For the nursery I've picked a crib and a rocking chair. I have a local antique store looking for a dresser, book case and nightstand. Will add lots of pink and florals for girl, vintage travel stuff (maps, trains, planes, trunks) for a boy.
Morning! 1. How far along are you? 9w1d 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? My doctor recommended combo of vitamin b6 and Unisom for morning sickness and it has been a total lifesaver. Being on vacation this week in the mountains with the cooler weather has made a huge difference for me too. Telling my family this weekend was cool! 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I loved Bringing up Bebe. I don't know how useful it will prove, but it was an enjoyable ready. 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Not yet, waiting to find out if it's a boy or a girl.
Kind of PG related - I just read in the BOE minutes from last night that they are terminating their contract with my insurance company effective 11/1/15 to be replaced with "equal or better" coverage. I teach and I have great insurance and like everyone my contributions towards it have risen every year and his year are taking another big leap (despite us going into this school year without a contract, which means I'm essentially taking pay cut) and this is the first I'm hearing about it and that's only because I took the time to read through the pages and pages of minutes. So yea, I'm a little nervous about what's coming down the line. I have very little OOP expenses for prenatal car and childbirth costs, so it better stay that way since we budgeted around that
Not reading anything this time around. My good reads with my first were Ina May's Guide to Childbirth and Birthing from Within. As much as I dislike Jenny McCarthy, I really liked Belly Laughs, and Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy was decent at telling it like it is
No nursery theme this time, either (poor 2nd child). Baby will be in our room for a while then move into DDs room, which is somewhat Little Mermaid themed at the moment.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I have my first appointment this week. I'm so nervous. I feel crappy, so I keep telling myself that's a good sign. PGAL is a whole different ballgame.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I bought my H "Dude You're Gonna Be a Dad." It's funny and he seems to like it. I like the Mayo Clinic guide best so far.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Not yet, but I have pinned a lot of hot air balloon/travel theme stuff.
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I can't believe we're so close! Due date is Sunday. I had an OB appointment last Thursday and I was 0% dilated or effaced though... We'll check again this week. Excited to meet her
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I read What to Expect, Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy and a month-by-month book my OB gave me. I enjoyed them.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? We don't have a theme per se, just a color scheme. We did gray, pink and gold. I'll share pics soon
1. How far along are you? 30w1d -- I can't believe I'm typing/saying 30!
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? My wrists and ankles are bothering me. The constant tiredness is kicking my butt, too.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? Mayo Clinic has been my staple. I also finished up Belly Laughs last night. That was a cute read. And Baby Bargains was my bible when I was planning the registry.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? No theme. I'm going with grays, yellows, pops of coral.
2. I'm feeling stupid-stress about putting together our registry. We're not having a shower, so we're not doing a big registry. But a few family members keep asking about it, because they'd like to get us something "nice." (Which is awesome of them, of course, the stress comes from me not really knowing what I really "need".) There are a couple big ticket items I really want (a BOB), but not many. We already bought our crib and glider; we received a hand me down infant car seat + stroller frame for it, and other than the BOB I'm feeling pretty unsure about strollers. The breast pump we'll get through insurance. I feel pressure to come up with/pick out/finalize other bigger stuff.
3. I got a bunch of books in 1st tri, but I haven't really touched them since. It's probably time to dust them off and try to figure out what we're doing.
4. Adirondacks.
We ordered the glider (neutral) last night. Still a lot of work to go on the nursery itself. It's so full to the gills of handed down baby clothes and a mix of baby stuff that people have given us that it's hard to actually work on the room itself.
2. My 11 week ultrasound found a small bleed so I am still on Crinone and Estrace for another week I was soo looking forward to not being on them anymore.
3. Even though I most likely won't have a vaginal birth I really like the Ina May Guide to Childbirth book.
4. The nursery room was painted bright green 5 years ago and I refuse to repaint it now. So the nuresry colors will be green, gray, white, with pops of yellow. No theme though.

1. 40+2. I hate to even type that out!
2. Just getting a little anxious. RCS on Friday if I don't go into labor by then. I tried pumping and tons of walking and ball bouncing yesterday. Got some contractions and cramping but it does out overnight. I really want a VBAC but not sure I'll get the chance.
3. With my first I read Ina Mays book and Happiest Baby on the Block.
3. Team green so it's mostly just lots of colors, then monkeys/giraffes etc.
2) my parents came in to town two days after my due date and are leaving Friday. I'm scheduled for an induction just in case Thursday night but likely little dude wouldn't make an appearance until after they leave. I'd like them to meet him so please cross your fingers/toes/ whatever he comes! I might also see if I can move the induction forward by one day. But I don't really want an induction so hopefully he comes.
3) I'm delivering in a military facility and they actually gave me a very succinct helpful book about pregnancy. I have some other books I thought were ok.
I've been so hungry lately and hate waking up hungry in the middle of the night. Then my hip is bugging me enough to where I'm going to call OB today. I'm starting to think it may be sciatica.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books?
I received "What to Expect in the First Year" but haven't cracked it open yet.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share?
I'm going with a jungle theme, tried to stay gender neutral. I'll be using decals but not sure which ones I want. Have to see how the crib fits first. I'm converting my walk in into the nursery (I have 3 closets in our bedroom so plenty of space).

1. 26 weeks today 2. I have my GD test Wednesday. I'm not excited about it and I just hope that I pass! 3. I haven't really been reading any books related to pregnancy or parenting. Oh well 4. So far it's just neutral, walls are buttercream, trim and curtains are bright white. I like how it's coming together without a specific theme but my MIL keeps saying how boring it is. But I give zero fucks.
2. I'm over it now. Any time he wants to come out is fine by me. The sooner the better.
3. I really like all of Ina May's books. So many people love to tell horror stories about their births or other births they've heard about, and it's nice to have books full of positive birth stories to remind myself that most births are not emergency medical situations where everyone's on the brink of death.
4. Nope. Not even sure where this kid is going once he moves out of our room. But I did just buy new curtains and a rug for the older boys' room, so win?

1. 24w 2 d
2. I'm starting to feel very pregnant and ugh. I still feel mostly good but chasing around Ds and picking up 32 pounds of toddler multiple times a day is starting to get a little challenging.
3. Happiest Baby on the Block is a must read. I used the Nursing Mothers Companion when Ds was a baby too.
4. No....the nursery is also our guest room in this house so we are just hanging photos from our vacations over the years in there. I need to pick a few from our time in Alaska to print and frame for over the crib. Otherwise this baby is using the same sheets, blankets, etc from ds1. Maybe when we move next summer I will put something more together for him.
1. How far along are you? 36 Weeks. 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I had a very relaxing great weekend. I didn't really go anywhere. I spent yesterday at the spa and got a massage. It was awesome. I also picked up the last few items I wanted including the cutest baby book that I am excited to fill out. In other news I am totally over being pregnant. 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I haven't really read any. DH has "Dude you're going to be a dad" and I read parts of that. I plan on getting Happiest Baby on the Block this weekend and will try and read it before I go into labor. 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? We didn't do an actual "theme" just a color scheme. We did navy and gold with pink, I love it. DH is hanging gold dots over the crib this weekend to finish it up then I will post pics. But I love it so far.
1. How far along are you? 21 weeks today 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? AW - It's a GIRL! Vent - Still having some brown spotting. How long after sex does it last?? Random - We were going to keep the gender a secret for 3 more weeks until a reveal party on the 19th (my birthday). However, DH told one of his students. I'm very upset about it and he's not phased... 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I've liked the Mayo book as a clinical reference. "Panic Free Pregnancy" has been the go-to book in my work bag. I'll be purchasing childcare books in the next few weeks. I've got a few that I'm considering. 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Yup! We will have a brown crib though. We won't be copying the wall art EXACTLY...but we'll be using this as a concept.
2. I am dreading the travel from east coast to alaska for my sister's wedding weekend in 10 days.
3. i haven't read a thing this time around. i do remember liking "healthy sleep habits, happy twins" (or something which i am assuming was pretty similar to the original happy baby one) and "happiest toddler on the block". i think i will check out ina may for a childbirth book, just in case i can vbac.
4. just trying to get all the twins crap out of the tiny spare room that will be baby's room...we will repaint it yellow and put up the crib and call it a day. we are thinking of possibly moving next spring, so i don't really want to put in much effort.

1. How far along are you? 14 + 6 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I still can't sleep . I am a stomach/back sleeper so trying to be on my side is impossible. I don't think this lingering sinus infection is helping with the exhaustion- I can't decide if I should go to the doctor or not. 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I have Mayo clinic book on my nightstand- does that count? 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Sort of! We actually bought our bedding this past weekend- mainly because it's the only thing I've found that I really liked and it's on clearance at PB, we found the quilt at the outlet and everything else on-line for like 70%off! It's an alphabet/book theme. I feel like now that I have the quilt/bedding I can focus on accessories etc.
1. How far along are you? 17w today 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? Appointment this week, yay. I'm finally feeling like a functional human being and have been getting out of the house a little. I started cleaning out his room this weekend, but there's still a lot to go! 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I don't have any! I'll have to look for some of your guys' recommendations. 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? I think it will be navy, bright green, and gray with elephants. I don't have any pics or inspiration yet. I really have no clue wtf I'm doing. Lol
Morning! 1. How far along are you? 34 weeks. OMG. 2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? Like starry I am over it. Basically crotch of fire all the time and generally uncomfortable sleeping. I still can't decide on VBAC vs RCS. 3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? I loved pregnancy and baby 411. But TBH I learned the most on MMM/GBCN! 4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Um. I should really get on that, lol.
Starting to feel like I really am this far along. I get random aches and pains in weird places, and I get tired pretty quick now. Overall I still feel good. I need that feeling to stick around for at least 3 more weeks until after our move.
I read What to Expect when Expecting and some other pregnancy book I got from my OB. That's it.
Our theme is blue/gray chevron/polka dot. This is the nursery bedding I picked out and am going off of:
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? I made it through a family bbq with no one guessing! DH kept drinking beers and putting his empties in front of me. I can't believe that worked. On the down side, I got treated to my cousin's horror story of a delivery for her new baby. No one would have told me that story if they knew. So, so bad.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? Um, so far all I've read is Expecting Better, which I have found very informative. I should probably pick up Ina May's book and some sort of parenting book eventually.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? I was thinking fairy garden, but now I'm thinking fairy tales. Basically, I found a clock on etsy that is cogsworth from beauty and the beast, and I really want to get it!
2. Pregnancy related vents/AWs/randoms? My dry cleaner said I was "very big" for only 4 months. Thanks, lady.
3. What are your favorite pregnancy / childcare books? Pregnancy: Mayo Clinic, but I find the Baby Center emails just as helpful. I haaaaaaated The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. Childcare book: American Academy of Pediatrics guide to the first five years. DVD: Happiest Baby on the Block.
4. Do you have a theme for a nursery or any pin-spiration to share? Nope. Baby will most likely be in our room for the first few months and we will be moving at some point, so we'll see.
2. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I'm off my meds for the pregnancy and it sucks. I'm in pain basically all the time. Luckily some days are better than others. If it gets horrible, I may consider going back on them. H and I are planning a baby-moon for November! My parents are going to come stay with our daughter and we're going to sit on a beach in Florida and I'm SO excited. I can't stop eating gummy bears and sour gummy worms.
3. Another vote for Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. I'm looking forward to reading it again.
4. We have a two bedroom townhouse so eventually this baby will share a room with DD. I'm planning on cleaning out half the closet, getting rid of the guest bed in there and getting another crib. Right now the decor is natural/earthy, so I'll do something similar for #2 in there so it all goes. We may end up converting a corner of our room into a mini-nursery if them sharing a room isn't going to happen by the time we are ready to move the baby out of our room.
You don't have to stop sleeping on your back or stomach at this point. Especially not your back. The reason to avoid that is to not have the weight of your uterus compressing your blood flow, but at 14 weeks you wouldn't have enough bulk there to cause a problem. Also, even later in pregnancy, it is ok to sleep on your back if it is comfortable because you're body will adjust your position if your blood flow does become impeded. You'll just change positions in your sleep. Obviously if you are physically uncomfortable don't do that but I didn't want you losing sleep this early when you can still sleep on your back or stomach!
