Mine has come in fast both times (like 3 days the first time and 1.5 this time) but my boobs are enormous fucking goody two shoes overachievers when it comes to this. Five days is pretty common.

Congratulations again!! He's adorable!
my boobs aren't even engorged gah!
Mine weren't the first day either. But the third day. OMG.
I remember the second time my boobs didn't feel that engorged, but DS2 pooped and it looked like BM poop and I was totally amazed and was like, "wow - my milk must have come in!" And then like 12 hours later I thought my boobs were going to explode! Ouch!
With both girls, my milk was mostly in before being discharged, so by 3 days pp. It wasn't until I got home that the true bowling ball engorgement happened. I pumped with DD1 since she was in the nicu (and I was too sick to get out of bed to see her). It took almost a day of pumping to get anything into the bottle to feed her. Eta: how are you feeling? Did you get sick at all? I puked about 15 times after DD2 was born. My OB said it was probably from bowel manipulation during the surgery.
I also had a c-section and it was 3 days before it came in. Per the hospital LC I was pumping a few times a day to get things going, but it still took 3 days. In the mean time we supplemented with formula to get DD back to her birth weight before we could leave the hospital. Mind you I had her in the Netherlands, I am sure things are a bit different in the States.

Yeah I remember nursing seeming a little silly for awhile because my boobs didn't seem any different, but it was after I got home from hospital post c section before my milk came in/I was engorged. But baby seemed to be getting colostrum or at least something up til that point enough that baby was satisfied?
Don't worry about it yet! Like others said above, you're less than 24 hours out. Colostrum is all that your baby needs right now, and he is a much better pump than the pump is. Pumping right now is only for stimulation, not to actually get anything out. Are you putting him to breast at all? Like breastfeeding first then pumping?
Mine came in 3 days post-c/s with both kids. Like @underwatwrrhymes my boobs are BFing overachievers, I was very badly engorged for about 2 weeks, OUCH. And still have an oversupply at 5 months even with NO pumping.
C-section and milk came in day 5! If your milk was in now it would be very surprising. You are doing great. It's extremely hard to pump colostrum. If you pump and it gets on the flanges or your nipple just scoop it up with your finger to put in baby's mouth. You are doing fantastic. Keep him at the breast. You can do this!!!
