What helped your nausea? I haven't thrown up but I feel much more nauseated this pregnancy. Some days I feel crappy all day, some days I'm fine, and others are a mixed bag. Crackers seem to help but I'm trying to watch my weight gain and I can easily eat too many. I was thinking popcorn might work. Anything else that helped you?
Anything sour helped my nausea. Lemon heads were a good one. Pickles. Ginger candies. Cold ginger ale...room temp ginger ale made my nausea worse but cold helped.
I feel a little funny asking for meds because some days I'm totally fine and I'm not actually throwing up. I was at the doc yesterday and was feeling great. Today not so much.
I've been having trouble drinking enough. Water even cold is a no go when I'm nauseated.
As for the weight gain while I agree that I should eat to feel good my doc has suggested I keep my total gain to under 10lbs. I did okay with weight gain with DS but I was 20lbs lighter.
Salty carbs. Pride be damned, Kraft mac & cheese was great in some of those gross weeks.
I wasn't comfortable going the medication route since I wasn't actually puking. I felt like garbage for a while there, but I didn't feel like it was serious enough to warrant meds (which I tried to avoid entirely in 1st tri).

And ditto on the "eat whatever you want." I really feel like 1st tri is all about survival. If it sounds good, eat it. I rarely drink soda, but I consumed SO much ice cold throwback pepsi and coke for those few weeks. I also ate grilled cheese and pickles every night.
I survived on McDonald's French fries, salad with ranch dressing, crackers, ginger ale or sprite. And a smoothie and bagel in the morning.
Sour candy helped.m
Most days I picked up French fries on the way home and I think the fat helped. It seriously made me feel so much better. Eat what you can, you can clean up your diet when you are feeling better!

Don't feel bad asking. I didn't throw up much at all during the first/early second tri, but felt 100x better on Diclegis. Third tri with DD2 I was even throwing up water if I drank too much or too fast. My midwife said lemonade or sparkling water tend to stay down better.
Other than that, I ate a lot of carbs or whatever sounded like it would stay down. Cold coke, lemonade, fries, pizza, soft pretzels, bread, crackers...I am getting semi-nauseous just typing this, LOL.

This is me too. I am nauseated most of the day, almost everyday, with actual vomiting in the AM (2-3days/wk). It's very different from the first time.
My dr. recommended B6, twice daily, and unisom at night. She also said to eat whatever I needed to since I am healthy, and my weight is not a concern. Have you discussed your nausea with your dr. at all?
Lately, what I've been doing is: -ice water (small sips at a time) -starchy/carb things (potatoes, sweet potatoes, toast, crackers) -snacks in my car and around the house like trail mix, and other nuts -sparkling water -peppermint tea (Bigelow brand has the best flavor) -altoids. I keep them by my bed because when I wake up nauseated MOTN these seem to help -smoothies as soon as a bought of nausea passes, to try and get some protein/vitamins in. I've really liked one with frozen strawberries, bananas, yogurt, and almond butter
I haven't had much appetite, but when I do, I try to take advantage of it. It's hard stuffing my face when I have zero interest in food tho.
I oddly find it easier to eat things that I haven't prepared. Soooo….take home pizza and deli sandwiches have been happening. Because I can stomach food better when I haven't had to smell it cooking.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I had chicken soup for dinner and I feel much better. I'm going to pick up some mints / hard candies to keep on hand too. If the nausea persists I'm going to give my doc a call.
