Dumb question - we close on our house on Monday and our dishwasher might be broken. Do we just tell the buyers through our lawyer and offer, I dunno, compensation? No way do we have time to get a repair person out, I'm guessing.
I will never buy a freaking Samsung dishwasher ever again.
This happened with our microwave. We could pay to fix it, buy a new one, or give cash. We opted to give cash because we didn't have the time for anything else.
DS2 has starting biting. Yesterday was the first occurrence. He bit DS1 for taking his toy. I hoped it was a one-off, even though I knew it wouldn't be. Today he bit a kid at daycare. I know it's normal. But I never dealt with this with DS1 so it's uncharted territory and I don't like it.
I got the unofficial word that I received my #1 choice for internship for this fall semester, which started today. I am so so so excited! Finally doing something I'm interested in and passionate about.
Went to a freezer meal workshop at HyVee today. Amazing! One hour, got 7 healthy freezer meals but only had to assemble one. After groceries and the $10 fee it was only $87! Woo!
I am exhausted. If there was a word for beyond exhausted I would use that. I could not sleep last night because my mind was racing with everything I had to do today and stuff I didn't want to forget. I got 4 maaaaaybe 5 hours of very interrupted sleep last night. Then I spent all day today doing assessments on my incoming students. I'm watching Big Brother now and then probably going to bed right afterwards. Today my first appointment was at 7:30 am so I was at school by 7 but tomorrow my first appt. isn't until 8:30 so my morning won't be as crazy.
Just pulled the trigger on some more bike shorts for DD. I had been waiting for them to go on sale after someone posted about them here, so I got them $2.33 each. Yay.
After a few really bad days, DD was actually pretty good today. I needed that.
Well my FB buyer no showed, which I semi figured. I have 2 people behind her and one couple seems very interested, so cross fingers they buy our set tomorrow! Hellooo money!
I should be packing another box, but meh. I stayed late at work and am toast.

I saw some more bagged bananas at the grocery store today and I thought of MMM.
We had a very productive few days. The inlaws were here and we got a ton of packing done. I went to our new city today to tour daycares and found one that I love that can take him starting in October. So many changes are coming to the banana family but they are all good changes!
I lost my mucous plug this morning and felt really crampy all day. I had my normal 5-6 contractions throughout the day, but it doesn't appear to be turning into anything yet.
DD's list of stuffed animals she brings to bed is getting ridiculous, but I tried to be patient while we tucked each of them in individually.
DD is crazy about her routine. Sometimes (like tonight) I just can't. She asked me to put her in the crib, then once she was in, she realized I didn't "fly" her, so she demanded out and to start all over. Then H "flew" her blanket while she was flying, not after, cue hysterical screams. We just let her cry. I refuse to bend to the toddler terrorist!

You need to get it in working order. You could probably also offer cash, but it needs to be an amount that will pay for repair. That's such a hassle when you're so close and just want to close/move. Sorry it's happening to you.

Yes, I would fix it. Your contract likely stipulates that you have to maintain the house in the same condition as it was at showing. I would just call your agent and ask about the best course of action.
rugbywife and glitzy07, J would love to have a third tv and honestly I wouldnt mind either except we have direcTV and I'm not willing to pay the $ to have our bedroom wired for satellite. I may look into options for roku or even just Netflix on a smallish tv in our bedroom though, I miss watching tv in bed (had the option at our apt because we had cable and wires running all over the place. That was 7 years ago though).
Aj got put in time out tonight for throwing balls at the tv. I warned him that if he did it again the ball would go away, and that usually works but not tonight. So after the second or third time that I took the ball away and hed just grab another one, I picked his ass up and put him on the couch and told him he was in time out. Once he figured out I was not letting him get out of his seat (for 30 seconds, mind you) he finally realized he was in trouble...cue lots of tears and need to snuggle once he was allowed to get up.
I know this is not indicative of future TO success but still, I'm hopeful. And now I'm drinking wine.
DS had a mishap at a playground today that necessitated an ER visit to a hospital in the middle of nowhere and my leaving my daughter for hours in the hands of someone I just met yesterday. He's absolutely fine now (and so is she!), but when I finally got us all on the road back to NY this evening, I cried as I sat in the rush hour traffic (silently, so DD wouldn't notice). The idea of DS not being okay was as equally terrifying as the thought of DD worrying about us and not knowing when she'd see us again and having to just hang out with someone she barely knew.

This sounds awesome! What kind of meals did you get?
Wasp attack. He must have kicked a nest in the ground or something. Freaking awful. DD was at a class in the opposite direction of the hospital and going to pick her up wasn't an option in the event that DS had an allergic reaction and needed an epi pen (per my pedi).

2 dozen cupcakes, 3 dozen sugar cookies and a "superhero" cake layer. Omg my feet are killing me and so swollen. Also, I think the baby may have dropped? At the very least it has definitely relocated. The spot it was in before is no longer painful and whenever I sit it is literally sitting/resting on my lap. Normal for 34 weeks? Lane never did.

H has decided that if this kid is a girl her middle name will be Belle. Like Beauty and the Beast. Lena Belle is hokey right? I'm at a point where I may just give up because IDGAF anymore and I think it's a boy anyway. Thoights?
