I had a filling done this morning. My mouth is half numb. I have an lunch meeting today and can't eat without drooling.
All I did when I made the appointment was to think about the timing. "I'll be done before lunch, so that should work fine." I didn't think about the after effects of the appointment.
I can only do so much with two kids on my own. But, as a friend (who is picking up kid 1 from school today for me, incidentally) said to me today, "most moms are happy to do a favor for another mom." I hope that's true, because I have called in so very many favors since having my second kid a year ago.

I over-ordered cake for DS's birthday earlier this month and it resulted in many "cake for breakfast" mornings. Not so bad!
