Stupid FTM/babywearing question

So your baby is napping in the carrier. He tenses up, and has what you can tell is a giant poop. But never wakes up. Do you change his diaper right then, or wait until he wakes on his own?

Depends if I fear for myself being covered in poo.

Otherwise, I'd wait it out.

I always change poop as soon as I'm aware of it.

We always changed DD1 when we were aware of poop because she has absurdly sensitive skin and I swear would get a rash just thinking about pooping. We only wake DD2&3 if it's leaking out because they have no rash issues.

LOL my DD used to wake herself up and scream the minute poop hit her sleeping butt. If I had such a sound sleeper, I probably would've left her.

I don't generally wake them for diaper changes. But they're not prone to diaper rash.

Depends on the kid. DS1 was very prone to diaper rash so he always got changed right away. DS2 rarely gets diaper rash so he can wait.

He woke up about 3 minutes after my initial post.

If I changed a diaper every time I heard a poop happen, I swear he's never have a diaper on. I swear this kid never stops. It's just a constant elimination. He's 7 weeks now. So I'd wait until he woke up.

Has your child not slept much lately and you just want to eat a damn meal in peace? Not Change.
