The other thread is too long, so I'm starting the second daily thread early.
Our dog is such a dick. I saw her sticking her nose in the auto RnP yesterday, I assumed she was just smelling some baby spit up or something. Yeah, no. I just went to put DD in it for the first time today and the dog chewed the goddamn plastic waist clip! It won't clip closed now! That was $80, I was planning on selling it when DD grew out of it. What the hell dog.

This is more of a confession, but oh well. I'm out of clean underwear so I stole DH's batman briefs that I bought him as a joke. They were the only ones that weren't boxers! I promise I will do my laundry as soon as the diapers are done.
Our dog is being a dick too. He is basically hunger striking the past couple days- won't eat his food (or wet food or rice or anything I've tried) but gobbles up anything DS drops from the high chair. And then the dog is whining because he's hungry. Just eat your damn food dog. He usually gives in eventually and eats, but it's typically at night after he's been annoying all day.
Maybe only amusing to those with school-aged kids...
I wish my PTA could do this.
Esp after being secretary and knowing how much each family donates on top of their membership dues. We don't sell crap. Quit making it so hard for us to come up with money.
Ds screamed and cried for like 45 min today. He would then ask for me and when I got near him he hit and kicked me. Repeat in cycles. Omg. I just walked away each time but it seriously made me tear up.
When he finally calmed down, we read books and he snuggled up with me and said "now I so happy mama". Glad you got it out of your system kid jeez.
I have no patience for toddler antics and of course DS is acting up.
Baby is so low none of my bottoms (jeans, shorts, yoga pants, skirts) fit except for 2 pairs of booty shorts that aren't appropriate to wear outside of the house.
I threw out a pair of DS's shorts because he had an epic blow out.
I'm really loving our neighborhood lately. Over the past two years or so, I've noticed that's it's really changed in nature as younger families have moved in with kids around the same age as ours. They're just now getting to the age where we (all the parents) feel comfortable sending them out to play in a big gang at the "triangle", this little empty lot in the middle of the neighborhood. It's just down the street from our house and the boys go there with two of their friends who live across the street from us and meet up with some other kids who live near us.
Today my next door neighbor, an elderly widow with no children, is hosting her second annual "art exhibit" where she invites the local children to come over and make a drawing and then she hangs them up on this clothesline. The boys have been over in her yard all afternoon with their neighborhood friends. It's cute. It's like we're living in a throwback to the past when parents used to shoo their kids outside and tell them to come back at dark
I was so confused while I was walking DD1 to school this morning about why so many elementary school girls were wearing a "1989 world tour" T-shirt. I was worried I missed a notice that it was some kind of retro school spirit day or something.
chilerellanos that's heartbreaking. Lots of good thoughts to your family right now.
Our alternative newspaper here had a story about this supposedly awesome burrito place that is way better than Chipotle, located in a gas station pretty close to my office. So I took a chance and went there for lunch today. OMG delicious. Seriously, 100 times better than Chipotle, plus it's in a gas station so I got to supplement by burrito with a diet coke and Twizzlers. I only ate half and was so full. I don't know why KC has so many delicious places in gas stations, but I'll take it!

Where is this magical place?
Burritos To Go. Here's the Pitch article. The one I went to is the one in the article, but there's one in Parkville apparently, and one in KCK. KCMMM GTG at the gas station burrito joint?
My cousin's husband's mother and his nephew were hit by a car last night crossing the street. She has massive head wounds and is not expected to make it. His nephew is 9 and has a lacerated liver and spleen and a shattered pelvis. He's critical but is expected to survive.
My cousin is more like a sister to me. We grew up together and we are very close to their family. I'm so upset.
The in laws came back from the beach today. Shortly after they got here, I was changing DD's diaper and she projectile pooped. I screamed and my mom came over to help clean the poop off the carpet while I finished changing her. The in laws came over to watch. I shit you not. (pun intended!) thanks for being useless! Two more days till they head home...
Then my mom and I picked up DS and went to kohl's for a quick errand. DS was hilarious. He was running around the store and hiding. It was annoying and adorable at the same time.

Hugs to @awinter and @chilerellenos.
My next door neighbor works in the office at DS1's elementary school and told me that his teacher loves him and thinks he's "a hoot" and "a breath of fresh air". That pretty much made my week.
The heartburn is absolutely out of control in this pregnancy. Zantac is helping a little bit, but I dread having to lay down at night, and sleeping propped up with an extra pillow is no fun. However, I am so curious to see if the old wives' tale that heartburn = lots of hair is true (or not).

My DH just took the kid to the park. What I need to do is turn on my computer and do some work but I'm so tired I just want to sleep. I've been having insomnia again from 330-5 and it's killing me.
